Final thoughts .....

I think people are underestimating the gronk factor. Yes we won last week and before without him but he is a special player and in big games against tough defenses , you need a guy you can go to. We missed him in the 49er game as well as the giants game last yr. Baltimore is a tough nosed football team so he could be missed.
Ravens have played a ton of snaps this playoffs but in a AFCCG dont think it will matter. I thought after playing 87 snaps vs colts they would get blown out in denver but they played 6 Quarters!

I disagree with this. Shane vereen when used properly, creates more of a match up problem than gronk.

Shane vereen forces the defense to respect his catching/running/and his down field running.

I think we're going to win. But, come on man! Let's be real.

Respect your opinion but come on....gronk > everyone on our offense except brady. You see one game of vereen and you are giddy. I would not be surprised if he doesnt play many snaps tomorrow either.

Your quibbling about 2 possessions????? In a 6 quarter game??? To hold Manning to 21 points in 6 quarters is a massive accomplishment

I'm still waiting on you to reply to me in the Felger thread.

Vereen has one great game last week and already he has moved ahead of Gronk in terms of more of a headache for the opposing defense and DC???

Man,I heard of the term 'what have you done for me lately',but this is ridiculous!!

There is a reason why Gronk is labeled as the best TE in the game.......

Have you watch seen in college?

Vereen catching ability, running style and 4.5 speed is a mismatch for all teams.

Vereen has always been this good....He's just on a patriots team with great running back depth.

I agree that Vereen does create nightmares for defenses when he gets put into "space". He very well could be the X factor tomorrow night.

Woodhead does it too but he doesn't have the raw speed Vereen has.

I think Hooman & Vereen compensate for about 65% of the missing Gronk Effect. So it could be alot worse - plus I think this defense is about to become "special"....

We held Houston to 11 if you take out kickoff returns setting up scores. And, they have a better offense than you guys. So, there ya go.

Obviously they don't..based on Playoff data Ravens are the #2 Offense...

Vereen's problem is this is basically his first year. Last year i'd call more of a red shirt year and then there is Woodhead in front of him. But it's not like Vereen hasn't somewhat produced in his 82 touches of the ball he has 525 yards and 7 TD (regular and postseason) and that's basically in 8 games.

I like vereen a lot and would like to see more of him but come on. He wasnt even in the game plan until woody got hurt. If he was as good or better than gronk , he wouldve seen lot more playing time from BB regardless of where he is in the depth chart. He can have an amazing game but still I would take gronk over him anyday.
Woodhead is much better pass protector than vereen as we saw in jax game .

I think the X Factor will be Brandon Lloyd

Lloyd has torched the Ravens secondary the past 2 meetings both here and when he was in Denver.

I expect Pees to devise a plan that will limit Welker and Hernandez and perhaps Lloyd will be the beneficiary of the attention that is looking elsewhere.....I also think Branch may surprise us with a nice game as well.

Denver averaged 30.1 points per game in the regular season with what most regarded to be a very soft schedule. They scored 35 against the Ravens.

And as has already been pointed out, it wasn't six quarters.

I'll stand by my response to the Ravens fan. Congrats to Baltimore for the win, but he was being a bit disingenuous with his flawed logic that since the Ravens allegedly held the Broncos to 21 points, they will do something similar against the Patriots.

Vereen is on a team that's stacked with running backs. Any other team or any other patriot season vereen would have been a starter.

Vereen is a way better offensive weapon than woodhead.

Let me know when the NFL decides to determine the outcome of games by yards.

Ravens are 4th in what matters - points.

I cursed Branch with my optimistic view on his chances this season and i have deemed it time for his curse to be lifted.

He is an invisible bum that has no impact on the game. Just a body on the field taking space. Every breath he takes is a waste of oxygen.

There...10 receptions 89 yards,1 TD.

Nooo...i've done it again.

That's also where the patriots biggest flaw. Yes, the patriots don't allow a lot of points, but teams have figured out if you hold the offense under 28 points they have a greater chance at winning.

Either i'm drunk or this post makes no sense.
