I need to know.

Are you also going out of your skull in anticipation of this game?

I don't go more than five minutes without thinking about it. And this has nothing to do with confidence level as I am extremely confident. I just can't wait for this game to happen and it's WAY BEYOND NORMAL.

Tales of Pats obsession before this AFC Chhamp game go in this thread.

:rocker:

not yet. trying to stay busy. idle time turns to "is it kickoff yet?"

I am really forward to Sunday, but not losing my mind.

I feel pretty good about out prospects this week. Especially after reading this tidbit from Reiss:

BB lauds Slater, says it's been 'good week' - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

“It’s been good. It’s been a good week,” he said. “I think we’re kind of back on a normal week, playing Sunday to Sunday. I think the players have done a good job this week. They’ve worked hard to get the scouting report and the new information on the Ravens. Practiced well. I think we’ve had good energy. I think the team is excited to play. If you can’t get excited for the AFC Championship Game, I don’t know what you can get excited for. This is what we worked all year for, this opportunity. I know that everybody wants to make the most of it. I think the attitude is good and we’re looking forward to playing a great football team and knowing we need to play our best to beat them. That’s the way it should be.”

I like it when the coach says they have put in a good week of prep. Brady always talks about how important practice is, BB is not an easy taskmaster. If BB is happy I am feeling good.

I don't have a mind to lose in the first place, so advantage me :D

Sunday 6:30 is a bit of a long wait, but I have a team I coach on Sundays 3:30 to 5:00 and that makes time fly by. When it's over, I'll catch up on the SF @ Atlanta game and it will be go time.

If you think you're going crazy now, if the Pats win, you have an additional 2 weeks to go crazy.

Hah -- I was thinking the same thing. Then I just decided, well ... better than having nothing (football wise) to go crazy over.

Yep. The next two weeks would be the ultimate high class problem.

But first things first.

Looking forward to the hardware presentation. Will be the first for most of them.

I laughed when i read that. does that mean Matt has found the leak in the bucket so no more ninety yard returns?

Could be he responds well to a pat on the back. BB is a smart man.

I thought they might add someone from the practice squad. They have spots, no? couple good special teamers there.

lets just say this has been an abnormally unproductive week for me at work.

Definitely. I've already got that jiggy feeling that I usually get a few hours before game time during the regular season.

I'm going to hit the gym this afternoon and play some old dude basketball. I already know who I want to guard - this big hairy guy who we think has some neurological problem because he feels no pain when we wail on him when he gets the ball in the post. Pounding away on his sweaty back and arms will definitely help get some of this anxiety out.

Tomorrow is definitely a chain saw day. There are trees down in back that need to be reduced to sawdust and kindling.

Sunday will be an eternity. I'm going to the Mall, the Temple, the Mosque and the Cathedral to worship all the gods in hopes of a Patriots victory.

Somewhere along the way, I'm going to buy a bottle of Sweet Lucy - a sublime concoction of bourbon, peaches, oranges and apricots to stash in the cabinet away from the people coming by for the game.

Good times.

I just ran 3.5 miles, boys and girls. Listened to WEEI and 98.5 podcasts. Greg Bedard sounds soooooooo worried. He ALMOST gets me worried.

I will be fine until Sunday morning. At around that time I will start to get the old constricted bowel thing going. Pumped and jacked. Good times!

I was fine up until yesterday. And today it seems like it's getting worse.

THIS (running) is how I keep myself sane during "the long wait." The morning of the game (as I always do the morning of ANY big Pats game) I will run...and the jitters melt away.

Big games calls for big runs, so this Sunday I'm thinking it's a double-digit day.

Nope, not anxious, said in August I was going to enjoy the ride to the Lombardi this year and In relaxed and keeping busy. Not to say I wont by pumped up Sunday but Im going to drink this all in as Brady and BB get their 4th ring together. Aint no fun if you dont enjoy it along the way.

two more days just two but thankfully Celtics game tonight and Bruins game tomorrow will help just a little

The nervousness really set in today. Until now I've been surprised at how calm I've been. Probably because I've been preoccupied with silly stuff like work.

I also try to work off the anxiety with running and lifting.

And then it comes back in the evenings so I have to get hammered. Just a little hammered.
