It should make you feel better in the years to come...Manning is still mediocre in the playoffs, unless he's playing a gassed team with 3rd-string LBs in coverage, then he's terrific. The Colts caught a lot of lucky breaks along the way, they were actually a team in decline in 2006 and should be even worse in 2007.

In the 2006 playoffs Manning had the worst passing performance by a SB winning QB EVER (since the new passing rules). Manning's supporters will argue, "Sure, but he won, and all that matters is winning. Stats are irrelevant." To which I reply, "Exactly. That's what we've been saying all along. Now win 2 more and you'll be in Tom Brady's class."

No, I wouldn't say that at all. I watched every second of the playoffs intently and Manning's stats are the most misleading I've ever seen.

Kansas City: He threw 3 INTs but went 30 for 38 and moved the ball up and down the field all day. Marvin Harrison ran the wrong route on two of the INTs.

Baltimore: This game was simply a grudge match and he managed it very well. The second INT came on 3rd and long, so he just threw it up and it wound up being better than a punt.

New England: I do not, but even if you do think he played badly in some of the other games, what he did in the second half vs. your team, the Patriots, more than, more than, makes up for any other bad thing. Those 32 points were ALL Peyton. They ran in 3 of the touchdowns when they got close, but it was all Peyton. Coming back from 18 down, the 32 second half points, the 80 yard drive with 2 minutes remaining... that was all Peyton. So, you guys definitely got the worst of it.

Super Bowl: Peyton was excellent, excellent in that rain storm. He played precisely how you have to play in a situation like that.

Considering the situations, he played some of the best football of his career in the playoffs even though the numbers do not show it.

Hey, Brady can have the stats, Peyton will take the Lombardi.

Great. So since you admit stats don't matter and winning the Sb is what counts, you will conceed that all those stats Manning was accumulating for years were of little importance, and Brady, who was winning 3 Sbs, was the better Qb.

Manning 2006 - 81.8 (which lets be honest, is a more likely score for such a good completion % and 1 TD and 1 INT)

Roethlisberger 2005 - 22.6 (a slight difference from 101.7 )

Brady 2004 - 110.2

Brady 2003 - 100.5

Brady 2001 - 86.2

Montana 1989 - 147.6

Bradshaw 1978 - 119.1
