Peter King :It's time to make room for Flacco in upper echelon of QBs

The list of elite QBs is fast becoming as long as the list of teams that make the NHL playoffs.

Which is to be expected if one removes virtually all barriers to inclusion.

Beats phantom roughing the passer penalities awarding first downs on 3rd and long outside of field goal range..

Those were classic.. The Brady rule..

:)

You mean the Carson Palmer rule? The rule that was put in after the Steelers knocked him out of the playoffs? The rule that was exercised when it was very apparent that Suggs was making a deliberate attempt to hit Brady in his knee and knock him out for the game/season?

A little more research might do you some good, my friend.

worst ice pick stuck in forehead mongo fanbase, the Baltimore Brown...er...uh...Rayvens fans...I have no idea what it is you are referring to but it must be the machinations of a sub 70 I.Q. moron ...you know...like 99% of the Rayven fanbase...

It's not about smarts, but dodging the bullets and trying to survive and thrive in the ****hole that is Maryland.

But yeah, Flacco's elite...sure. So is Jay Cutler, Tony Romo, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Sam Bradford. Elite...1337 as I believe the kids say.

Attempt ?? hmm.. is like Attempted Hands to the face.. or lemme see.. Attempted Helmet to Helmet contact ??

I think you have just made my point...

:)

Yeah right. Brady has gotten 5 roughing the passer call in the last THREE years. That's the fourth LEAST in the league. Does that sound like the refs are "looking after" Brady. Gets your fact straight Ray.

Raven's fans want to excuse every loss on the refs. How quickly you forget the well timed PI and holding calls that fueled the Ravens comeback back in September, not to mention the phantom FG that never was.

The reality is that there are always going to be calls that help and hurt your team in every game. Some of them are going to suck. DEAL WITH IT. The Pats got bad call after bad call in the Texan game and still managed to smoke them.

Stop trying to set up your excuses this early in the game. Ray. If you are going to troll, troll intelligently

MISSED FIELD GOAL..the refs GAVE you the points because it's non reviewable...how else could the stinking murderer lovin' fans get the "weeeeee-un!!!" they so desperately needed to validate their 2012 season...

Ravens Miss Field Goal, Bill Belichick Goes Apeshit On Ref - YouTube

the truth, as seen on video tape, always hurts the lying, near braindead haters who come here to spread their peculiar brand of revisionism.

Players on every team look for, and get, weak calls. The Ravens are no exception.

Flacco is such a limited QB that it is ridiculous to even consider him in the upper echelon. The guy can only throw to his right. His short and intermediary game is mediocre. He just has a strong arm who can throw jump balls to his receivers.

I haven't been all that impressed with Caldwell's play calling, but he has done a good job exploiting the few strengths Flacco has and minimizing the weaknesses.

Seriously, Flacco only completed just under 60% of his passes. He had basically a 2:1 TD to INT ratio. He was sacked 35 times. He fumbled the ball 9 times. Those aren't upper echelon numbers.

Rule was put in place for Carson Palmer in 2006. So your knowledge is apparently limited.

Not only that, but Ray Crybaby Lewis has been known to complain about chop blocks, crackbacks, leg whips and all the other illegal hits, rules meant to protect defensive players, so Lewis is a hypocrite.

Not only that, Brady gets roughing calls very rarely compared to most QBs in the league.

Honestly this is setting up perfectly for us. All the hype and expectations are on Flacco with the ESPN/King/Baltimore Sun ballwashing going on. That's how we want it IMO

I don't know about King's credibility on this but it's going to be a great thread in the nfl qbs on profootballmock this Monday.
They absolutely refuse to give Flacco elite status.:singing::singing:

Brady
Rodgers

Brees
Roethlisberger
P. Manning

The rest

Sorry, Peter, but Flacco's not up there in that top eschelon, and neither is Eli. Flacco's not next in line either. Hell, he's not even a top 10 QB.

What is your case for Roethlisberger?

1. He only played 16 games in a season 1 time in his career.
2. He has 2 seasons of 4000 yards and 1 season of 30+ TD in his 9 year career.
3. He has 1.76 TD to INT ratio.
4. He has 108 INT and 43 fumbles totaling 151 TO's in 127 games.

It must be that nothing says team leader like motorcycle accidents, rape accusations.

Please don't let your response be SB titles because you left Eli off your list and he has won 2 SB against a 16-0 and 12-4 Patriots team. Ben won against an 11-5 Seahawks and 8-8 Cardinals team.

Enjoy the game!

I feel like I'm robbing you of a once in a lifetime experience, PWP...oddly, I feel no remorse..

Why do I feel the need to add this comment to every Peter King thread?

This guy is the most worthless hack in the league. He merely jumps on the flavor of the week and writes down what every fan would be thinking if they just started watching football two weeks ago.

WRONG! A FAN THAT HAS ONLY BEEN AROUND FOR TWO WEEKS WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COMMENT ON COFFEE AND AIRPORTS.

(gee, typing in caps lock is strangely tiring.)

The moment you put that into your post, it makes responding to you on the subject a waste of time. I'm evaluating their play, not their off-the-field issues.
