Manti Te'o girlfriend hoax?

tumblr_m7g8mt6GCH1ryj6qoo1_500.gif

keeping with the supernatural gifs

The other day I saw a bunch of idiots along with a YouTube video claiming that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax which is absolutely ridiculous and heartless. (although there was a lot of through provoking things)

But this fake girlfriend thing seems 100% true and is just so WEIRD. WHY on Earth would someone waste their time with a fake girlfriend? :ugh:

This is going to be the most interesting draft stock case. How much does lying about something like this cost him?

Well the national title game knocked him to mid to late 1st round, this knocks him out of the first round, maybe even the second and now I think he will skip all the pre draft stuff because of the media backlash.

Wouldn't be surprised if he goes on the 3rd

Even if he is drafted in the 7th round can you imagine the amount of sarcasm/insults he will have to face from opposing players and fans? I think it is best for him to remain on the island of Hawaii

I think it is best for anyone to remain on the island of Hawaii

Interesting timing to release a story as such. It takes a lot of the focus of Lance Armstrong and his systematic cheating and bullying of cyclists.

I'm just absolutely shocked that the name PATRIOT wasn't taken yet.

On the bright side, a once-dead fake girl is no longer dead.

RT @SIPeteThamel: ND releases statement says Te'o was a victim of a hoax: "a sad and very cruel deception to entertain its perpetrators."

Pete Thamel ‏@SIPeteThamel
ND: "Lennay Kekua apparently ingratiated herself with Manti and then conspired with others to lead him to believe she had tragically died.

Criminy. So this woman convinced him she had died? What the ...?

Not only is this breaking story confusing, it's made even more bamboozling by the spelling errors above.
Let's take 'em in order, shall we...

1. Pete who? Thanel?
No whay that's a real last name. Never heard of it.
And plus, wat's tha phonetics on that beauty?
"Than-el", like you regularly say the word "than"?
Or is it the fancy extra syllable version, phonetically "Te-han-el"?
You know, like when someone purposely separates the "t" and the "h" in a "th..."?
They do a hard "t" sound for the 1st syllable then segue into a breathy sounding "H..." then say the rest of the word.
(It's all very Sesame Street, I know. But I just havta know these things when inquiring on a football board. Indulge me. heh heh heh)

Okay, now how's about his one...
2. Lennay Kekua is a chick??? Ohh... I get it... it's one vowel different than the "Mice & Men" fellow's moniker.
And Kekua sounds like another suspect last name to me. Must be an underlying trend forming here.

3. and plus, she ingratiated herself with some person named Manti.
Yeah, but earlier in the report, a person named Te'o is linked to this Lennay character!
Which begs the question - are those TWO different people? Or is that ONE person?
4. And for the love of Mike (hey, look at that, a normal name), which is the first name and which is the last?
Is it Manti Te'o?
Or Te'o Manti?

5. And also, come to think of it... is Te'o short for Mateo (the Spanish version of the English name Mathew)?
I mean, some Spanish guys go by Teo. Is this that thing, but with some wacky Samoan spin added?
You know, throwing in the apostrophe (no, not the Frank Zappa album) just cuz it looks fancy?

Kinda like when ditzy chicks do those smiley face thingies when they dot their letter "i"?

6. and if that's not enuff, we got's that whack "crimini" standing alone in it's own sentence.
Wazzat? The happy union of Jimminy Crickets?!!
With that same ditzy chick tradition of ending a name with an "i" where a "y" is usually called for? Like Sandi, and/or Candi?
Jimminy Crickets >>> Crimini? That's cute, if that's the case.

7. And I won't even get started on how much Kekua sounds like a tropical bird call.
Phonetically "keck-ooooo-ahhhh!"

Anyway, you tell me that's not the most ridiculous bunch of indecipherable bunch a' name-o's you ever seen thrown together in a news report up there!
Jeepers creepers. I just thought I'd weigh in on that. lol.

I used a lower case L (l) to look like the capital I in PATRlOT/PATRIOT

I tried to to PATRlOTS with the S at the end, while stil using the L/l but it was actually taken

(pure speculation).....

I think he was in on this from day 1,

someone with his permission created a fake girlfriend, and fake was just fine with him since since, well...he doesn't date females (and that's OK, except to Heisman voters)

Then they got the idea of publicizing her "tragic death" to help his Heisman chances

and yet somehow they didn't really think this one through.

So he never met this girl in person? It was a long distance relationship?

Well, um, thanks for going to such great lengths to bring literacy to the discussion. ...

So he never met this girl in person? It was a long distance relationship?

Well the original article claims they met after a game and exchanged numbers which lead to talking on the phone all the time so he must have made that up for it to have been used in the media when "she" "died".

It is really confusing. I am a ND fan, I really don't what to make of it to be honest.

Really strange story.

We all saw what a pathetic fraud his team was a couple weeks ago, he might as well be one too I guess

Very creative. :D

Ha, a college athlete in a faithful long distance relationship. He's either the most strong willed person I know or the biggest liar. My wild guess is the latter.
