I was watching NEST an they had a little segment of BB miked for sound at the Pro Bowl practice. He was walking around cracking joke to the guys warming up.
Micheal Holly said that is the real BB that people hardly ever get to see.

I believe this footage came from the NFL Network. If any of you have the NFL Network and can youtube it, it would be great to post here.

Surprised they showed it. Doesn't exactly mesh with their "BB is Joseph Stalin/Adolph Hiter/Gengis Khan" media mantra.

Yea, I was posting something at the draft forum when I heard his voice. By the time I looked at the TV it was about over.

Holly said that BB can be very funny "no Cris Rock' but very funny. Holly had a year access to him so he should know.

This is no surprise to me, BB is a known "in the closet" kinda guy about his out going way.

The good thing is FA's like Thomas can see that side of him. I know it's going to come down to $, but if everything is equal- who knows.

If you were in Hawaii and its freaking February you would have a light side happy-like personality too!...probably 75 degrees there right now..Although I am sure he would have given it up for #4 :(

Pro Bowl quotes- including a BB remark on TJ

After having nearly a month to cool down, Tomlinson no longer blames Belichick. Tomlinson said both the coach and the running back "kind of apologized" Monday.

"He was joking around, having a good time with all the guys," Tomlinson said. "We even joked about the (playoff) game. I told him that I said some things that maybe I shouldn't have said, and in return, Bill said he didn't even see Hobbs doing it, but after the game, he definitely said something to him about handling the situation better.

"I still think Hobbs was wrong, but when I sit back and think about it, I don't think Bill has any control over how his players act. He can tell them all day long, 'Guys, let's act like we've been there before,' like Marty (Schottenheimer) does to us, but guys can always do whatever they want to do."

Tomlinson now wishes he hadn't invoked Belichick's name _ and he's excited to see how New England's coaching staff will use him in the Pro Bowl along with Manning, Marvin Harrison and the rest of the offensive talent.

"We talked," Belichick said. "I have all the respect in the world for LaDainian as a person, as a player, and it's fun to be out here working with all of those guys from the Chargers."

Belichick had less to say about retired Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson, who claims Belichick forced him to participate in full-strength practices shortly after incurring a concussion. Johnson says the resulting brain injuries left him with memory loss, depression and an addiction to amphetamines.

"I wish Ted well," Belichick said. "I know he's going through some things, and I hope it works out well for him. ... I really don't want to go into the past. I just hope things work out well for Ted. I really do."

and another where Peyton says BB called to congratulate him on SB win and then whines about still being the same guy despite winning SB...

and from Bills' punter Brian Moorman's blog - he says Pats coaches are "good guys" and BB told him it was nice to have him on the same side for a change...

We had our first practice Tuesday morning. It's kind of strange to be coached by our rival coaching staff, but the Patriots coaches are all good guys and having fun with it. The receivers coach is actually from south Buffalo so we got to compare places to eat wings and talk about mutual acquaintances like the folks at Ilio di Paulos.

Coach Belichick seems to be having a great time. He even told me last night he was glad to have me on his side for once, so that was pretty cool. You can tell he wants to win the game though, but who doesn't want to win? You'd expect that. He was ribbing Kaeding about the kick he missed that helped the Patriots win in the playoffs, so he has a good sense of humor.

Indy has all the makings of a team that's going to get knocked around next season.

Does anyone else get the feeling that BB's "cool coach" thing in the Pro Bowl is actually a premeditated act to improve his image among star players for when they become free agents?

I like the picture of him with Ed Reed and Chris McAllister. We could have REALLY used those guys in the second half of the Colts game.

I do not thinks so, with BB what you see is what you get.

So any way, what were some of the funny jokes BB was telling?

Not according to Michael Holly who followed BB around for a year while writing Patriot Riegn.

You can't scheme personality.

actually, he sounds like the coach the players, holly and coffee with coach on WEEi sounds like.

I think this experience should wake alot of players about BB around the league. I am sure when this guys go home their teammates are going to ask themabout the patriots coaching team.

You can, I can't!:D

It would be nice if someone youtube it if possible.

Glad the rest of the league can wake up to what we already know.
