The 2013 deadline for draft-eligible underclassmen to declare has passed. Although declared prospects have 72 hours to change their minds, we pretty much know who is coming out in 2013, and who will be coming out or eligible in 2014. It's never too early to start kicking the wheels on prospects of interest. And I thought it would be appropriate to start with the guy who is probably going to dominate all discussions for 2014:

The rare freak who seems to play up to his hype, Clowney will almost certainly come out in 2014 and be a top 2-3 pick if not the #1 pick overall, barring injury of other unforeseen issues.

The chance of Clowney being on our radar is probably less than that of the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl next year. Slim to none. But he'll dominate the 2014 draft, without doubt.

Not all with declare but here's what I have for non QBs:

Jake Matthews
Taylor Lewan
Cyrus Kouandjio
Austin Seferian-Jenkins
Marqise Lee
Sammy Watkins

Jadeveon Clowney
Scott Crichton
Jackson Jeffcoat
Aaron Lynch
Stephon Tuitt

My initial 10 favorites from that list, in no particular order:

DE Jadeveon Clowney
DE Stephon Tuitt
DT Louis Nix
TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
LB Anthony Barr
RB/WR DeAnthony Thompson
QB AJ McCarron
DE Trent Murphy
DE Aaron Lynch
LB Kyle Van Noy

Adrian Hubbard and Colt Lyeria also get some love.

I'll add Timmy Jernigan, DL from FSU to that list.

600

There's a lot to like.

Trade up for Terry Bridgewater.

I think Colt Lyerla will get a lot of love on this forum before next year, especally if we continue with TE injury problems. 6'5", 238lbs and has a 40" vert and runs 4.5.

We're talking another potential AHern. Plays RB too.

Mayo.

I'd add Dominique Easley, Flroida's DT to your list.

Also, Brandin Cooks who is Markus Wheaton's partner in crime and is also faster than him.

OK, I'll bite: five asterisks?

No idea. I put a ** since he'll be a red-shirt sophomore in 2014. When I posted it, it came out as 5 *****. I edited it and changed it, and it got modified again. Obviously, the website things there's something obscene about the kid's name.

I had him on the fringe of my early 10 favorites. If you discount any chance of landing Jadeveon Clowney, I'd include him. He and DeAnthony Thomas would both be terrific weapons in our offense.

I'm pretty sure that HaHa Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama, will come out as a Junior.

Darqueze Dennard CB Michigan State Alfonzo's little cousin probably a mid round guy at this point as long as he doesnt punch a cop

Someone I'm excited to watch next year is Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State. From what I've seen so far, he might be better than Ogletree (although possibly without Ogletree's amazing athleticism. He'll be a Junior, but that doesn't seem to matter anymore.

How about this for a hit?

I'm kind of wary looking a year ahead. Drafts always look much better a year out because you expect guys to take that leap and base them purely off potential. In reality a lot of guys don't live up to the expectations and most years people think the class is mediocre come draft time. There does look to be some good talent and its hard not to get excited about Jadeveon Clowney.
