Here is what I have heard the mediots say/write about some of the QBs in the NFL this season.

Opinions at end of -June Aug

Eli- "OMG! He is Elite,Better than Peyton in the postseason"
Peyton - "G.O.A.T"
Rodgers - "Best QB currently playing in the NFL"
Brady - "Third Best QB currently in the NFL"
Vick - "Vick will lead Eagles into the Playoffs this year"
Luck - "He is going to be remembered as the best QB ever to have played the game when all is said and done"
Big Ben - "Elite QB"

Opinions at end of -Regular Season games 1-8

Eli - "The Giants are in a slump , But Eli always gets hot right before the playoffs because those are the games that matter and there is no better QB than Eli in the Post season"
Peyton - "What can we say he is the G.O.A.T"
Rodgers - "Had the WRs not dropped so many catches the Packers would be 8-0 right now"
Brady - "The Patriots have had an easy schedule so far , but I dont see them going deep into the Playoffs this year with Manning and the Broncos playing the way they have been..."
Flacco - "He is Elite for sure"
Romo - "Jerry Jones is the reason Romo throws so many INTS"
Brees - "Their offense needs some time to adjust to life without Sean Payton"
Luck - "He has a photographic memory and adapts quickly"
Big Ben -"The Steelers will win the NFC North because of his play"

Opinions at end of-Regular Season games 9-13

Eli - "The Giants need to win 2 out of remaining 3 to enter the Playoffs , which is a cake walk for ELI, Watch out NFL the Giants are poised for a repeat"
Peyton - " What can you say about a QB who takes a atrocious offense and makes it one of the best in the NFL and is on a 8 game winning streak G.O.A.T"
Rodgers - Stephen A. Smith " HE is a BAAAAAAAAAAA.......AAAAAAA.AAAAAADDDDDD Man"
Flacco - "The Ravens need to think long and hard before signing this guy to a new contract"
Brady - "We have seen this story before, the Pats will be one and done in the wildcard round, Remember 2010 and 2011"
Romo - "Romo is playing at a very high level right now, Don't count them out yet"
Luck - "He has taken a 2 win team and turned them into a playoff contender"
Brees - "Clearly he is nothing without Payton"
Big Ben - "How brave of him to play with an injury OMG!!!"

Opinions at end of-Regular Season games 14-16

Eli - "Well that settles it, he is not Elite, Just a lucky SOB who happened to have two great defenses which got hot at the right time"
Peyton -" The Colts will regret letting him go when they see him hoist his second SB trophy"
Rodgers -Stephen A. Smith " HE is a BAAAAAAAAAAA.......AAAAAAA.AAAAAADDDDDD Man"
Brady - "The Pats have not played a lot of good teams this year and have lost to SF ,Az and Seattle . Brady is not the best QB because his stats are not as glossy as Brees or Rodgers"
Romo - "English for Mark Sanchez"
Luck - "Better than what Peyton was with the Colts"
Brees - "His selfish act of holding out for a bigger contract has cost this team"
Flacco - "Ravens need to find another QB"
Big Ben - "His act of being the BRAVE ONE , being the HERO cost his team a playoff berth"

Opinions -Playoffs so far

Peyton - "He was let down by his coach and his defense, He needs another year to gel with the offense and one more to heal completely"
Rodgers - "They need to protect Rodgers better, that is the reason they are out of the playoffs"
Brady - Mediots- "He is arguably the best QB ever, He takes a bunch of no names on offense and turns them into gold each and every year, he is a model of consistency. ALL HAIL BRADY"
Boards of other teams "I wish i had Brady on my team, he takes his team into the playoffs every year" (Believe me this is the common sentiment across many boards today)
Flacco - "Give him a big contract, He is Elite"

After the SB (lets assume the Pats lose - because i do not want to jinx anything)

Peyton - "G.O.A.T"
Brady - "He is the third best QB in the league, he hasn't won anything since 04"

And then history repeats itself, This cycle of comments from the media remains the same for the most part,At least has been for the past 4-5 years.

Why is everyone on this forum so obsessed with Brady being called the 'best QB of all time'?

Well Brady's record says he may be the GOAT of all time but we see another HOF QB who isn't nearly as good as Brady winning 6-7 MVP and being hailed as the best of this generation and other Good QB's (Rogers, Brees) being rated as better than Brady when they aren't even close to Brady as a QB.

I think it's less that than it is having to watch endless, non-sensical arguments about why other QBs are better. That and the fact that Brady is so consistently great every year that he gets taken for granted.

The guy goes for 34 touchdowns/8 picks and engineers the 3rd-highest-scoring offense of all time, and won't even be considered for MVP because a) he does that s*** all the time, and b) Manning dominated an awful division (and then did his annual early exit), justifying in the voter's minds that they were right to want to vote for him before the first kickoff of the season.

thats really it, if Brady were given his due by other football fans/followers, and honestly called what he is: GOAT, or top 3 all time it would be fine

no one in their right mind should ever say Manning is better than Brady, that is nonsense, and yet if you follow football, u should know better

if others were willing to admit Brady is best, we would not have to always clamor about it

Because there's a little bit of UGGs in all of us deep down inside.

I'm betting you are more bothered about it than Brady.

With the huge chip that Brady still carries about being a 6th-round pick 13 years ago? I'll take that bet.

I don't really care if others want to say Peyton is the best. It's just when someone tries to disclaim Brady, or Manning, as if they're not one of the greatest of all time. Those people are blatantly bias, or just flat out stupid.

Why can't pure football fans embrace both of them for what they? Whether you love or hate them. These two awesome QB's, that have played the game at the highest level possible.

There are a handful of guys that have played the game, that have definitely earn the right to be called the best ever. I'm not saying it necessarily means they are, but they've earn the right for that claim. It'd be completely and utterly foolish to think Brady or Manning haven't.

I am but then again I am a lot older than Brady and have seen all the greats play except, O Graham, Sid Luckman and Sammy Baugh.

As a fan it bugs me when the mediots get it wrong, like the people who thought Wilt was better than Russell.

BTW Brady will NEVER say it but guy this competitive damn sure want to be the GOAT.

Brady definitely cares about being the best ever.

What athlete with a competitive edge wouldn't?

You think MJ didn't care? If Brady didn't, he wouldn't be what he is today.

He's won three super bowls, done it all. But still strives to be better for a reason.

Because he arguably is. I can see him winning more than 1 SB in the next five years. If he gets 5 SB wins I think he is the standard on what everyone wants and his name will be solidified for a long time. But who knows, we won't unless this team gets another championship or 2.

I'm sure he does want to be the best ever. But I also believe that he isn't judging that by what the mediots say. He'll let the records, rings and wins speak for him and let posterity be the judge. In 30-40 years time, it will be Brady the mediots talk about, not Manning. And that's what matters.

But Manning hasn't earned it.

Peyton is not one of the best ever? Really?

The guy might win 5 MVPs.

I agree his post season leaves a lot to be desired, but the guy is as dangerous of a QB we've ever seen in this league.

I think Brady is better too, but I can't say Manning is not in the conversation.

He could still win a ring, or two, and make the debate more interesting. Denver is going to be in the mix again.

Horrible coaching cost them more than Peyton.

They were a few awful decisions away from easily winning that game.

You said: "There are a handful of guys that have played the game, that have definitely earn the right to be called the best ever." Manning's not.

Who cares how many MVPs he might win? It's a beauty pageant, and it's pretty well established that he's the default pick every year. He might win his fifth this year, but that would just mean a second or third MVP that he stole from someone else who was more deserving.

He might win two more rings (he won't), but as of right now, he hasn't done enough to earn the title of best ever. In fact, he's done a lot to prove that he isn't.

People on this damn site were calling Brady old and scared.

"Lacks the arm!!!" Now people are enthralled with the Vereen pass
