I'm not worried about the Jets. I'm worried about the fact that we haven't won a SB in 8 years and there are only so many years left in Brady's career to win number 4. We make fun of Peyton, myself included, for choking in the playoffs, but if the object is to win a SB, we haven't done it in 8 years.

"Why's everyone so excited? Oh, we scored. We are supposed to. Where were we?"

Thank you for the reminder

I think we all share your concern on some level, but there is a night and day difference between the all-time player with the most losing games (P.Manning), and the one with the most winning games (Brady) as it pertains to the postseason.

Also keep in mind that this will be the 7th time in 12 years (not counting the 4 minutes of the 2008 season, and why would you?) that Brady has taken this team to at least the AFCCG.

That is almost 60% of the time....

There isn't any "choking" going on here. In 5 SB appearances, we've had the lead in the last 2 minutes all 5 times. One loss was probably due (last year's great throw and catch from Eli), while the first was probably just blind luck.

Having a QB that allows the fans to know that every single season we will compete at the highest level is truly a blessing.

Loved Pic A when I saw it live, but...

"We're past the Texans. Time to focus on the next opponent." ;)

I agree Supafly...looking back on the Giants losses, as heart-breaking as they were, we were in a position to at least win the game, and Brady didn't throw a game-clinching pick 6 a la Peyton. His brother just threw once in a lifetime passes that resulted in circus catches.

But winning the SB this year could shut a lot of opposing fans up. I know people of opposing teams that watch the Pats, like people watched the late 90s/early 2000s yankees, hoping we lose because their team couldn't beat us or they just hate us. I absolutely love that, but I'd love even more to win it all and completely break their hearts, and for Belichick and Brady to finally get ring 4 that they deserve.

If we lose to the Ravens/49ers/Falcons, life goes on and there's another season, but I guess my point was that I'm not focused on the Jets. Making fun of the Jets is like a jock making fun of a nerd. In other words, completely pointless.

It's fun making fun of Peyton when he chokes because he's an all time great that just chokes in the biggest moment, and because of all the media hype he gets. I guess I just saw the Rex Ryan picture and it does nothing for me. The Jets won't be contending anytime soon.

Can someone ban this guy before his posts get ridiculously out of hand. His posts clearly show he is a troll....

How am I a troll? I want the team to win as much as anyone. I just don't get any special pleasure out of making fun of the Jets. I'm worried about my own team going to the super bowl and winning it. We have a tough opponent this week and that's what matters. If we lose, we're no different than the Jets...neither of us won the SB.

There are no "Second place" trophies. Or "My team got a little further than yours did." Maybe you're happy watching your SB39 DVD, but I'm not.

You're not even good at disguising it. But I do agree the Ravens have a tough opponent this week. And there are a lot of similarities between the Jets and Ravens in how their players act. Organizationally the Ravens are in a different stratosphere....but you are not fooling anyone with your trolling.

And one last thing if you are going to attempt to hide your trolling you should probably spell the players names correctly....Just a bit of advice.

So who am I Mr. Paranoid, a Lions fan in disguise?

My point was that people seem to get off on making fun of the Jets on here. We've won as many SBs as them since 2005: none. If it makes me a troll to tell the truth, then I guess I'm a troll.

Just because we won 3 sbs in the early 2000s doesn't mean Belichick, Brady, and the rest of the team get a free pass.

I'd rather have no one else as my qb and no one else as my coach (except maybe Coughlin, since he has 2 rings the last 4 years at our coaches expense) but I mean what's the point in making fun of Rex Ryan? We're the laughing stock out of the league until we win another SB and shut the spygate idiots up.

Either that or a bandwagon fan. Brace yourself, we'll get plenty of them if we win this weekend. Remember how many showed up after the AFCCG last year.

A bandwagon fan? I actually live in Mass for one thing and don't live in Florida.

It's like on this site you can't say anything bad or negative about the team, or else you're not a "real fan." A homer isn't the definition of a real fan.

You could have at least spelled Vereen's name correctly.

That right there shows you are either a moron or a troll. I'm betting on the latter.

What team is Coughlin getting ready for this week? Right the draft...

Since 2005 two SB appearances, 4 AFCCG's, the most wins over that span, an undefeated regular season, the only year the Pats miss the playoffs they win 11 games without their first ballot HoF QB..... Yup laughing stock...completely.

Again you suck at trolling, so why not register again under a name more fitting for what you are representing stop acting like a child and have a real discussion about football.

I was born in Mass. As for your second paragraph, you should probably start reading more of my posts. I say more "bad things" about this team than most people here.

:bricks:

Coughlin has two rings at our expense. The point is to win it all. Not have moral victories. Those are for Colts fans.

As for the Vareen mis-spelling, my bad. Common mistake even on here.

Look, I'm happy we have Belichick/Brady. I think Coughlin/Eli were just lucky and it took two miracle catches to beat us. But I'm hungry for another ring. Does it mean I won't watch the Pats if we don't win it all this year? No, but I am sick of talking to my family and friends about the "Bruschi, Harrison, Vrabel, Law, Dillon" days and think this team is too good not to have one at least one SB the past 8 years.

I understand your concerns. I am sure that there are others too, however the way that you worded it initially may have gotten people in an uproar.

Sometimes it's hard to communicate on the internet as people take your words differently than what you may have meant, or sometimes it can be a case of just saying something stupid--which we all do from time to time.

If you are going to stay around and talk football, then welcome to the forum.

No one means any harm on any level, there are just so many trolls that it's hard to differentiate who is who these days. I don't personally get that impression from you and the way that you responded to my post on the first page, but I can understand the concerns from my fellow posters.

Getting that 4th ring this year would indeed go a long way towards shutting some of the average fans from around the league up, but at the end of the day many are simply jealous anyway. Eventually we will get another ring, this team is too good not to.
