243 Yards - 2 TDs the past 2 games vs. the Raven's defense and that was WITH Webb covering him.

In 2010 Lloyd when with the Rams and under the calls of McDaniels torched the Ravens for 135 Yards and 2 TDS

This year with the Pats Lloyd had his second best outing of the season with 108 yards and just shy of that games best receiver Welker

If you are looking for a sleeper in next weekend's game, maybe it's Lloyd who might have the Raven's number as he has shown in a small, yet interesting sample.

And wasn't that mostly against Webb? I said it another forum just a few minutes ago but Collinsworth had Webb as a top 3 corner in the league during that week 3 game.

yep, just added Webb to my post

This is good. With Gronk out, Vereen less likely to sneak up on anyone and Branch in witness protection, we need a HUGE game out of Lloyd.

Vereen doesn't have to sneak up on anyone this week. He's a nightmare match-up for the Ravens' LB's.

It's true. Though the element of surprise never hurts. That part is gone.

they will have vereen and woodhead available out of the backfield...nightmare for all of those slow LBs. Especially lewis who has lost a few steps

The only thing that scares me about the Ravens is Flacco's deep balls. Assuming he doesn't go all aerial assault on us, and we don't draw stupid PIs, we should be able to dismantle them.

If Balt can successfully run to set up the PA..it will result in those deep balls. Stop rice and hopefully make them 1 dimensional.

I can't comment on the Broncos/Ravens game in 2010, but Lloyd was burning Carey Williams mostly in week 3. Webb was their LCB who moved into the slot vs. Welker quite a bit unlike most #1 CB's, so Lloyd was matched up on the other side and burned Carey Williams repeatedly.

Well Welker and Lloyd combined for 17 catches and 250 yards in that Week 3 game.

And what few talk about is that Gronk was nearly shut out with just 2 catches for 21 yards

While his blocking will be missed,it's not like Gronk dominated that game one tiny bit,but was used more as a decoy since they focused on him....since Hernandez can now play which he didn't in week 3,he may be able to draw the attention to him that Gronk would have and maybe we see a repeat of the Welker/Lloyd show again.

Other side of that story is that Gronk likely drew lots of coverage so Welker and Lloyd had their #'s ratcheted up a bit via the Gronk effect.

Right, but I think Hernandez will replace that attention,Hernandez can do almost as much damage in receptions as Gronk,he has shown the ability to dominate the middle of the field at times........when he goes all out and avoids the dropsies that is.

we will need another one from him...always does well vs ravens
