It's a beautiful thing. :D

Felgie is talking like the Ravens defense is the 2nd coming of the '85 Bears.
I'm more confident than ever this game will not be that close.

I'm assuming Mazz has said a lot of the following: "yes, Mike!" and "you're absolutely right!" and "no kidding, Mike!" Probably not any "I disagree, Mike" or "you're going to be wrong, Mike."

How to get ratings 101 pick away team

he is basing it off of lewis and his preparation (just heard the last bit of it)? Who did he pick last year?

The Pats better not show up Felger is never wrong. He knows it all.

Actually, Mazz thinks the Ravens are too old and slow on defense.

Felger is using the back up LB's Tweets to back up his argument. So I think he is going off the deep end today.

That said, who really cares what anyone in te media thinks? Some opinions may be interesting, entertaining, or infuriating to read or hear, but they mean nothing.

Classic sports radio gimmick. Have both hosts take opposing sides (I'll bet they even flipped a coin for who got the Ravens), then argue about all week with each other and calllers. Not that picking Baltimore is a ridiculous pick or anything. But the back and forth it'll generate is all about filling 20 hours worth of air time this week. Much more discussion and arguments than if they both agree on the pick.

America is the greatest place to live...how does a drunk become a sports analyst? Does Felger know that if Denver had played the last series right they would have won? Idiot I mean Felger the 85 Bears didn't win any game by 3 points.

Outing myself as a half-nerd, I swear every time I see that man's name I read it as Felgercarb

Felgercarb is a euphemism for "crap" in the Colonial vernacular

Felger is the complete blivid, eh?

I look at Baltimore as extremely dangerous as they are on one of those runs. You gotta think after being denied the AFC trophy twice against PIT and NE, they might have learned enough to finally break through here.

Boldin and Torrey Smith are gonna be flying around that field all day. Flacco is playing some incredible football. I respect teams that are able to pull out miracle games like that on the road.

He had to fulfill his weekly quota of controversy, so I'm not that surprised. It is only a bit surprising because of the way he usually bags on Flacco. But he can't let his actual feelings get in the way a 'hot sports take'.

Full disclosure: I enjoy watching Felger and Mazz. Maybe if you hear it on the radio you don't pick up on how much they're actually laughing at what they're saying. And when they say things that go "against" the Pats, I actually appreciate it. I'd rather hear some degree of contradictory information that keeps things real instead of over-confidence.

As far as Felger's Ravens pick: Mazz disagrees, and Felger made it ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that he stinks at picks and will probably be wrong. I don't really get why people get so bent out of shape about these guys.

This is what he does, deliberately, to get the ratings. He deliberately goes negative against the home teams. Last week, it was equating Brady to Manning. This week, he's building up Flacco and the Ray Lewis victory tour, and he's laying the groundwork for his "49ers, Kaepernick" in the SB, just in case.

He's the worst host on either sports station, but it's working for him.

He said he's going off his "gut feeling", not his opinion ;)

Baltimore is 0-3 in the past few years in the AFCCG,they are overdue

Also their window is closing fast because without Reed,Boldin who should be retiring soon and with Lewis already on his way out,you know they feel this might be their last chance for quite a while.

Its going to be a desperate Ravens team, and a desperate team is a dangerous team.

My wife was aghast at some of his post game comments lats night. I was on the computer, half listening, and shrugged. "Honey, the guy makes a living being a contrarian. You need to listen to understand his shtick."

Its the same thing with ESPN First Take .....Stephen Smith PURPOSELY argues and disagrees with Bayless because its staged for entertainment, they are told to yell and shout and show different opinions.

If these shows and the mediots all agreed on one thing,it would be boring and with low ratings,no one would read or watch it.

Its all about ratings and mouse clicks and nothing else.
