Is this not the perfect game to unleash it? The Ravens are an older D and have played two grueling games, especially vs. Denver. Tire them out and beat them in the 2nd half?

I know we've seen the Pats run it in spurts. I would love to see it for the majority of the game with the rotation of Ridley, Vereen and Bolden just running up the gut and short passes to Welker/AH.

Run the hurry up Offense if for no other reason than to rub Brendon Ayanbadejo's face in it.

I don't think there's any doubt we'll see a no huddle offense. Their defense is old, banged up, and coming off double OT.

it's added benefit is it stresses the opposing DC's ability to get the call right because he's rushed into making it. For a defense like the Ravens, who call a bunch of exotic blitzes, this could be an added plus.

I think if tired the running game can just take over in the 2nd half. So the clock ticks, the lead remains and the Pats win.

I agree. But the ravens are going to be a little slow from the start after almost making last week their SB in denver

I tend to think that myself, but I am taking the I'll believe it when I see it approach.

The Ravens for as much as I hate their antics and a lot of their players in general, are the most mentally tough football team in the league. If their is a team that will dig down deep and give it everything they got and never quit it is them.

Everyone thought the old defense would be gassed in Denver after playing 87 snaps wild card weekend, then add the no huddle offense in Denver's thin air etc.... We all saw how that worked out.

I believe the Pats win because they are the better team, but I think the Ravens keep it close and the Pats win it by 10+ with a late score to seal it. If the Ravens gas out after all they have faced then so be it and I for one couldn't blame them.

On one hand it does work against the 49ers - their lineman were exhausted! Their pass rush dried up in the fourth quarter...

But our Olineman tires as well. I'm convinced a big reason we lost was because Harbaugh brilliantly realized the D and O lines were Dead tired so he finally subbed in some backup DTs at DE to kill that last drive we had. Solder was exhausted and was only holding on because Smith was dead too.

Here the defense has the advantage. You can replace a DE with a DT for pass rush pretty easily. Hard to sub your LT effectively with a backup since your best Olineman who would nornally take his place is already playing on the right side is also tired. To counter a fresh DT replacing the tired Smith you'd need someone off the bench to replace the tired LT solder - not a nice proposition for Brady.
