Texans not ready for NE no huddle

Did the Ravens see the Patriots fast no huddle earlier this year? I don't remember if the Patriots started using it that early in the season.

No. The "NASCAR" Offense wasn't used then. Vereen wasn't really in the line-up and Hernandez missed that game. As did Mankins and Connolly..

To be fair, so far it's been very hard to be ready for.
If it was easy to prepare for, it wouldn't work against anyone.

Just like they weren't ready for Welker. You know he's going to get targeted 15 times, but he still gets open.

...and the real refs

The Texans were ready for the no huddle. The Texans simply couldn't stop it.

They said they it wasnt going to be a problem for them the first time we played them, how did that work out? They weren't ready for it either game.

That's a good point. It screams "bad coaching" when a team fails against the same thing twice in five weeks.

this is what chip kelley been running in college, remember he asked BB for advise on that NASCAR offsense. But what you see today is the master who build it, no wonder NFL teams has been eyeing Kelley as HC

Other way around. . . . BB et al. talked to Kelly about incorporating it here.

Both WRONG. Two different variants. Two different guys comparing notes.

I don't think I've ever seen a playoff team so soft in the red zone. The ease at which we ran our offense in the red zone was unreal. The Texans had better defense between the 20's than they did inside them.

Forget not being ready for the Patriots' no-huddle. They weren't ready for their OWN no huddle! Down three scores with 8 minutes left, they were still huddling up before each play. Just awful.

I disagree. They just were not set at the snap a bunch of times and that is tempo preparation. It was more obvious in the red zone, especially on the Vereen rushing TD and Lloyd's TD catch. They weren't ready for the snap. They didn't look gassed, they just looked unprepared for that kind of situation.

hell their QB couldn't even hold the ball when nobody else was around him

Their glacial pace destroyed any chance of a comeback. Again bad coaching.
Horrific officiating kept the Pats out of the 50s.

Keen observation by a Texans fan about this " How could our defense have practiced for the no-huddle when our offense can't even run it?"
