Please post your comments, knee jerk reactions, and insightful observations regarding today's Divisional Playoff game between the Patriots and Texans on this thread.

Weather today is not going to be much of a factor.:

  • This Afternoon Partly sunny, with a high near 50. South wind around 7 mph.
  • Tonight A slight chance of showers after 10pm. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Southwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Let's hope for a good game with no injuries and a Patriots victory.

More than two and a half hours to go until kickoff and I don't have any butterflies- they feel like bats. :D

Welcome to Gillette Stadium - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

Corrente gets the call. Veteran official Tony Corrente, in his 18th season, is today's referee. Corrente last worked a Patriots game in Week 4 of the 2011 season (in Oakland), when he flagged the Patriots five times.

Tynan to perform national anthem. Well-known Irish tenor Ronan Tynan will perform the national anthem for the second straight Divisional playoff game for the Patriots. Last January, he sang the anthem in a Rob Gronkowski jersey before a 45-10 win over the Denver Broncos.

Time to have the first beer of the day? Anybody else starting to drink now? :D

Hell, I'll celebrate being in the same time zone and have one with ya!!

I think this will be a brutal game for both the offense and defense of both teams.

The patriots just need to turn it to

SportsNation Polls - SportsNation - ESPN

Every State has the Pats winning even Texas 57% Pats 43% Texans

MA is 94% Pats

Overall 80% got the Pats winning this one.

Good thing BB does a great job blocking this kinda stuff out.

Pats are on a mission, hoping for a statement game today.

Wish the game was starting already.

This team has been rebuilt and the core is young and ready to take the next step.

My nervous meter is hitting the roof :(

I dunno but i suspect this game is going to be a lot closer than people think, especially if Schaub comes out throwing against our secondary

Key to the game without a doubt is the O-Line, they give Brady enough time (as Atlanta s are giving Ryan) we win, if they wet the bed and Brady gets jitter feet....

i expect to win the SB this year (as i do every year, but thats not the point)

however i see this as the closest game we will have on our road to the lombardi

So many people are saying this, I now think most people think it will be close.

Schaub and kubiak according breer on nfln have been preaching "cut it loose" this week to his team. Expect them to come out be bold . Need to watch for fake punts and onside kicks and all that.

jj watt needs to be contained for as many series as possible.

jj watt started to heat up late in the game in the first game.

Yup. The Texans have nothing to lose. But by that same token, neither do the Patriots. Might as well let it all out here.

My nerves are also about shot. I dunno how I'm gonna make it through this game.

Great, more bulletin board material for the texans .

I just voted for the Texans 18 times with different IP addresses to try and bring that down.
