I agree. If I had to choose a team to play out the remaining, I'd choose Houston. That being said, I DO NOT take them, or for that matter any team, for granted. I like our chances, but not a given.

Yup. That's why they play the game. It's one of the things that I like about football. Every team, no matter how good or bad, always has a chance. Many times, it isn't so much the skill that they play with, but how much heart they bring onto the field.

I know some people wanted us to face Denver...but brady has never really played well there...If we can beat the Texans tomorrow I like our chances at home

Some people = ESPN, NFL owners, CBS, Boston media, Denver media, media in general. Me? Sure, I would have enjoyed the hoopla by default.......but I could care less, ultimately, who the Patriots face as long as they win. If playing Denver helps the cause of the Patriots? Great, but that was not the case. The Patriots playing at home/not in the thin air of Denver is an advantage for the Patriots.
So suck it ESPN-CBS-NFL-Media :D

No one likes a bragger. :). Still looking for my first at the ripe age of 35. C'mon football Gods, cut me some slack for once.

Hey..i gotta go to them when they come up..becasue once brady and BB are gone..who knows how many more i will be able to get to

Well, Grogan and Bledsoe got us to the big dance too. I think that New England will do just fine for several more years to come, at least through this decade.

They have a good stable of players and a good front office and owner, so the pieces are still there if the right coach comes along.

not really, im still not sold on Houston. I think Denver is better than Houston and would have beaten them in an AFCCG.

Houston beat the hell out of the Broncos this season.

And if the right QB comes along after brady

And and according to the texans forum...Jonathan Joseph has the flu or illness (probable)...if he has whats going around in this country..this will hurt him. It took me 13 days to get over the flu. Finally started to feel good 3 days ago. This flu is hitting bad

i never knew it happened when they played

watching denver's defense today,I think houston might be a much better team than them .Much better defense at least.

Lets hope our players don't get it ala 2006 afccg. We need to stay healthy 3 more weeks.

What I meant by that was that they only played once, so that's all we have to go on. My apologies if you thought I was being snarky. That was not my intent.

Could not agree more. People take this one ultra close Bronco loss -- a loss that could have gone Denver's way very easily -- and extrapolate that to mean the Broncos were not one of the two best teams in the AFC?? Yet they disregard a FAR bigger Texan' sample (the last 8 weeks) of mostly mediocre/ to even poor play?? Y'all on drugs? Houston will probably lose to the Patriots. Yet if they do win tomorrow (perish the thought) they will probably lose to the Ravens or would have probably lost to the Broncos.

Now maybe tomorrow the Texans find their first half of the season mojo (I hope not!). Maybe they display a cohesive, effective potency they have not really displayed in many weeks. And maybe they will play at that level for the rest of the playoffs. Anything can happen. And if they do then they will have proven they are the best team in the AFC. But as of right now the Texans are not better than the Broncos or Patriots based on the clear and convincing evidence of their recent track record.

I am one excited pats fan today. Our destiny is in our hands to make the afc road to the superbowl a home one for the pats.

Also i am not sure if there are people who hate the ravens more than me especially suggs. But i do love a champion player and this run with Ray Lewis making one last shot at the Super Bowl is great to see.

God i want us to win this one and take on the Ravens at home. Hopefully this time TB can put up some numbers on them and we all remain healthy.

I hear ya about that flu bug. I came down with bronchitis that morphed into something nasty. I ended up going to the ER a week ago friday. They pumped me full of drugs and sent me home with a handful of prescriptions. I'm still weak and meh feeling, even though I'm pounding the fluids and trying to rest. Thank God I can work from home.

If we win, I claim the rule of 3 has been satisfied and Pollard won't be causing any long term physical damage to patriot players

Crazy that the Pats' road to the Super Bowl would be vs Houston and vs Baltimore rather than what many believed was the inevitable vs Cincinnati, at Houston, at Denver.

There is a lot on the line today. Patriots control their own destiny. The road to the Superbowl could go through NE. Just have to come out and be physical and smack the Texans in the mouth.

I am very nervous about this game, maybe because I am going, but victory is always sweetest when you have very much to lose.

After how yesterday's games went ,Iam extremely nervous about this game now.:(
