I was never crazy about the Divisional setup with one AFC and one NFC game each day being played over the weekend.

I would prefer to see one conference play on Saturday for the CG and the next day the other conference to set up the other CG

I think it stinks having to wait a whole day to see who your opponent will be......Thoughts?

That, and the fact that one team in each conference championship game gets shorted a days preparation.

I don't mind the AFC-NFC sat and sun thingie. But I feel that the #1 seed should play saturday so they have more advantage.

That's the first thing I thought of as well; it evens the playing field in regards to prep time.

Unfortunately I can never see the networks going for it. I'm sure CBS and FOX would prefer the current setup; if not, we would have already seen that change. Money and keeping their business partners happy is more important to the NFL than causing a team to make a long trip on a short week for a playoff game (even if Baltimore was able to do just that and win yesterday).

An extra day of rest is a meaningful advantage -- and in the current system, it's given to out randomly based on however they decide they want to schedule it.

I would also agree it makes sense for all NFC playoff games to be one day, and all AFC playoff games to be the next day -- making it more fair as both teams have equal (within hours) amounts of rest.

Road teams still have a disadvantage in that they have to travel, but I'm fine with that as the home team earned that right.

This. It's nothing the networks couldn't adapt to.

did anyone notice that the AFCCG is scheduled for 6:30 PM on Sunday night?

Whats wrong with a good ole fashion 1 PM and 4 PM start for those two championship games?

Rating blah blah. The ratings would be through the roof if they played the game at 8 AM.

Sucks for me because the AFCCG starts at 11.30pm, on a Sunday.

As would the Superbowl if we got there.

This will be the 11th year the Championship games have been at 3pm and 630pm. They just rotate conferences every year.
