I'm gonna call it like I see it: The only people in the entire NFL world that don't want to see what would be a Thrilla in Manilla AFCCG are Patriots fans and Denver fans. Chickenshtts or what? Ironic or what? All the tough talkers are suddenly shrinking violets.

Let me ask you something if you feel that way: Why do you claim to have the best team and to want to be called Champions if you're not willing to do a little of the Giants walk? Why do you seek ease instead of proof positive that your team is the best in the frigging land? Why do you want ease if you're so into toughness? Could it be that your toughness is an act that you pull out and use when you feel like, and then you crawl under blanky when something big and scary comes along?

And if Peyton scares you under blanky why do you poke your head out and say what a dolt he is? Kinda like to have it both ways do ya?

Let me ask you another something: Why is it that all year long you say, "The SB is the goal, and the rest is garbage" but when the empty awards are given out like Pro Bowl you get all knotted up like panties in the wash? Like it both ways there too huh?

Just what the hell are you people smoking to cause you to become anti-fans and wish for a game against the geriatric Ravens? Oh, it "gives us the best chance to win"? Chickenshtt. We have a chance to see a Thrilla in Manilla and you're going to wish for Mike Tyson to knock out some nobody with one punch? Oh, great fun. Whoopie. NFL history or a knockout of a clearly inferior opponent? That's the choice here and for all you ticket holders all I can say is that most of us aren't so lucky as you and we don't have to wish for a geriatric game just to suit you. You are the lucky ones and you need to give back a little to the peons out here who have NO SHOT at being in Foxboro. We count too and we don't want to see Grandma Moses show up and do one more dance in our faces.

There, I said it. How'd I do? Oh, and one last thing: Shut the fcck up Donnie.

I want a 4th ring. If raising the probability means we skip Denvah and the real possibility of a blizzard of bogus zebra PIs, I'm good with it.

If your question is why do I want the Ravens to win, the answer is I want a home playoff game. If it was on a neutral field, I'd agree with you. But, home field advantage is no joke in the NFL.

I was actually thinking before that who would i want?

Another shot at ousting Manning.A legendary chokartist and a D that we have completely owned in our last 3 meetings or a Ravens team that always manages to play us tough.

Lol, this isn't best out of 7 basketball style playoffs.

The best team doesn't always win. The Patriots know this better than most. You get 60 minutes and if ONE thing goes wrong it can mean the end of the season. Luck is important and there's nothing wrong with hoping you get better matchups.

Imagine if the Eagles of the past couple years were in the playoffs when the Giants were making their run. A team that normally sucks but for some reason always plays the Giants hard. You bet the Giants would have wanted to avoid them.

When all is history nobody is going to say 'oh the Patriots had easy matchups'.

I agree 100% with the I want the HOME GAME AFCCG response.

I agree a little with the any given Sunday; but that also means any given Sunday the Ratbirds could beat the Pats too. Whichever team wins; THEY WERE THE BETTER ONE TODAY so they deserve to host Pats or play at Pats as the case may be.

I have no problem with the if you want to be the best; you have to beat the best argument the OP makes; AND I DONT SUBSCRIBE to being 'AFRAID' of playing the Donkeys.........BUT

There is IMHO one possibly legitimate argument why Pats DON'T WANT to play HIM/Donkeys.
...
No one can legitimately argue that the NFL doesn't have some kind of Pro-MANNING conspiracy factor. His one SB was MANUFACTURED by the refs and the SQUEELERS SB 'games to glory' were ATTEMPTED ROBBERY but the Squeelers overcame the refs to still put Pay-Me-a-Ton away. You can argue whether it is outright planned favoritism or just cause of all the Peyton LOVE out there the refs just unconsciously give him a few calls they dont give the other guy. However it came about; I would fear that it could happen again next week.

I think Pats are better team than either ravens or donkeys; and MUCH more than the historical 3pt HF advantage better. But throw in HF and some Go-To-Hell hatchet men refs. ???? who knows.

If the Ravens beat Denver, I expect you to immediately stop watching the playoffs, because it just won't be worth it anymore.

So far it is unanimous against your rant.

Home playoff game is what a teams' fans want.

I'd rather play the Broncos there than the Ravens here. I said before the playoffs started that my dream post season was indy-manning, brady-manning, and brady-rodgers. We have just a couple games to the off season and I, for one, want to be glued to my TV set wringing my hands every minute.

Want that Lombardi too, though :D

Get over yourself. I want Baltimore because I want to go to my first Pats playoff game if they do and besides, I actually would enjoy seeing NE beat the Ratbirds and would get more satisfaction from it. As far as your logic about beating the best....that's just plain dumb. It's the NFL, anyone that makes it to the Conference Championship is the best.

Personally, I have no idea what you're talking about. I've been saying for weeks - or longer - that I don't care much if we're the #1 seed or the #4 seed, if we have to go on the road, and who we have to play, so long as we're healthy and focused and peaking for the playoffs. I'll get equal pleasure out of beating either Batlimore or Denver, but I'm not going to worry about either until we take care of business against the Texans tomorrow, so I couldn't care less about that game right now. But that's just me.

you would rather go to denver..than have a home AFC champ game against a team that the pats own?

If we end up playing Denver next week, it will be a hell of a lot of fun. The hype leading up to the game will be insane and the oportunity to lay a ***** slap on Mannings ugly mug certainly certainly does make me smile. However, I want Baltimore to beat the Broncos this afternoon for two significant (at least to me) reasons.

1. I hate Payton Mannings guts. More than Ray Ray, More than TDrizzle, more than any of the punks on the Seattle D. I hate Payton Manning. Its simple. I used to hate the Colts when the ****** played for them and now I hate the Broncos. My loathing for the man crosses, divisions, teams and cities!

2. A playoff game at home is more desirable than a payoff game on the road.

If you take this as me being chickenshtt, then you are clearly a closet Manning fan who has not faced up to this yet, to his freinds and family.

If Pay-a-ton lost today , I would have no problem with that. I would love to turn on my TV and not see or hear about that bulbous forehead. Not a big fan of the fivehead.:snob:

you should have posted this in the steve deossie thread. you love that thread as do i.:rocker:

OP does not understand that the best team in the league does not necessarily beat every other team in the league.

Three more games to win, three more games!
