The title of this thread literally made me feel a little nauseous ... but I like seeing that weather detail. Amazing how many media types are saying Peyton's already proven he can handle the cold because he played in a 35-degree game. Big difference here. And it's been mild all week in Denver, so the shock will be even more evident.

You're going to be able to time Mannings passes with an egg timer.

If I'm Baltimore I sit on every route

I want the Ravens to win. Pair that with a Patriots win and I will head to my second AFC Championship game in two years. That would be fantastic.

No wind. This is probably going to have more of an effect on the qb that gets hit more, which almost certainly will be super joe.

Hey....I'm with you......Flacco sucks

But that kind of cold will no doubt effect Mannings noodle arm even more

I know it wasn't a playoff game, but didn't Manning lead a 4th quarter comeback in a Denver snowstorm in 2002? Weather looked pretty bad as I remember it. I'd feel better about a wind game rather than just cold.

So in one weekend
1) Tom sets the record for most career playoff wins,
2) Peyton sets the record for most playoff losses, and
3) Peyton extends his record of losing his first playoff game of any given season, doing it for the 8th time.

that would be glorious.

#2 and #3 would not be mentioned anywhere but here though

Definitely haven't heard about #2 anywhere til you just posted it.

Well you heard of the saying its to cold to snow....obviously it
wasn't cold enough.:D

Neither did I. But God, would it be glorious if it happened. I wonder how quickly the OL and/or WR's would get thrown under the bus in the postgame presser.

Snow has no effect on a game as long as it doesn't collect on the ground effecting the footing.

It's wind, cold, and rain that has an effect IMO

Favre has 11 playoff losses and Peyton would tie him,

with Peyton being 9-11 and Favre being 13-11, thus Pay-me-a-ton "wins" the biggest playoff loser award on the % tiebreaker :rocker:

There is no winner in that scenario, they are both losers.

Or is it there are no losers in that scenario since they are both winners at being losers?

It gets confusing.

Hace mucho frio en Denver for the game! Oooohhh if the Ravens can pull off the upset and we can take care of business, that would be sweet!!

An upset wd only add to the Pats passion to win. It's home cooking in the dead of winter or that thin air which makes it seem one is playing in another country.

The cold shouldn't affect him any more than the opposing QB. The wind is what would hurt Manning since he doesn't power the ball. Since it doesn't look the wind will be a factor, I don't really see the weather being a big deal.

And although I can't possibly cheer for the Broncos, the opportunities for playoff matchups between Brady and Manning are dwindling and it would be special to see them in the AFC final.

Have you ever played any sport when it's colder? Your muscles tense up and it's harder to generate as much power as you would on warm weather. That's why pitchers generally throw with less velocity when the weather is cold. Even if there's no wind, it sure as hell would affect Peyton.

Peyton admits that he is going to the glove due to decreased grip strength that is most noticeable with a cold football
