Great news. Hope that my namesake will prove last game was no fluke.
I mean...when was the last time a Pat defender got 3 sacks in a game?
Think maybe Willie was the last to do it but I'm not sure.

Carter had like 4.5 or something

Excellent! "Houston...you have a problem."

Feels very nice to have the team this healthy. Anybody we thought might be helpful leading up the season who isn't has been gone for awhile--Waters, Demps, Fletcher, Edelman. The guys who were hurt--Gronk & Hernandez, etc.--will hopefully be rounding into form.

Let the Pats play 3 games without any more injuries apart from the usual bumps and bruises--and spare us a flukey 5 turnover game or something--and this year's edition is going to end the Super Bowl drought.

Awesome news. Let's hope for a win and staying healthy as we can

This is the healthiest Pats team going into the playoffs that I can remember in quite some time, despite all the OL injuries and injuries to our TEs during the season,it has finally paid off health-wise at the right time.

A healthy Pats team is a team no one wants to play,I assure you

Agreed, I would take a Healthy Pats team with a 2-3-4 seed entering the Playsoffs over a 1 seed with banged up QB/TEs

I'll also take a team with the #2 seed that has been battle tested over the past month with games against serious contenders like Houston and SF over a #1 seed that has not played a decent team at home since the temperature was 80 degrees in Colorado

My MENSA level brain :)rofl:) tells me you are talking about the Donkeys , am i right? :D

Suddenly, the pass rush on the DL looks awfully deep. There are five DEs on this line that can contribute to the push, and that's not including the interior guys and linebackers/DBs blitzing.

Jones
Ninko
Cunningham
Francis
Scott

On a critical third or fourth down, I'm confident in any combination of two of those players to at least make the QB uncomfortable.

The ducks are all lining up in a row...

With all being healthy you have to admit, this roster looks extremely good. You even have guys like Edelman, Ballard, Ras-I, Fletcher,Demps on IR ... Maybe a FA safety but even that improved with McCourty being there. Honestly if Brady and Wilfork can stay at their level this roster could very well be a new dynasty.

Only player on IR that brings a dimention to the team that can't be replicated is Edelman. They can obviously win without him, but matching skill-set for skill-set with one player cannot be done. WW comes close on PR but doesn't have Edelman's return ability.

Kind of odd that with a victory Tom Brady will break Joe Montana's all-time record for postseason victories (with one fewer loss), and I haven't yet heard a peep from the national media about that.

Why is that less of a big deal than, for example, Brees breaking the regular season record of Unitas for consecutive games with a TD pass (which Tom will pass net year)?

Here, let me 'splain....

Mr. 9-10 is still in the NFL. Nothing else matters.

What about Fletcher's speed and coverage ability at LB? And Demps brings a new level of speed to both the backfield and especially the return game, where McCourty et al on KR are mediocre at best. For all its productivity, speed is really a missing element in this offense and I was disappointed when they put Demps on nonreturnable IR. With the release of Shiancoe after zero productivity, this was a mistake.

I guarantee that there will be more stories on the pregame shows about Peyton wearing a glove to deal with the cold weather, after playing with a glove on for the last two games (when it was not cold at all) just to get used to the "feel" of it,

then there will be about how another QB can set the all-time record for postseason wins, breaking the record of pretty much the most-respected postseason performer of all time.

Yep, a sad state of affairs. I also guarantee there will be more Buick and Papa John's commercial featuring the loveable every day goober than mentions of the goober's actual playoff record.
