Rob Ryan has been fired in Dallas
Cowboys fire defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, according to report - SBNation.com

Ryan's departure comes after the Cowboys finished 8-8 and out of the playoffs. Dallas finished the season 19th in the NFL in yards per game allowed, but were 24th in the league in points per game allowed. The Cowboys had a chance to make the playoffs, but lost their final two regular season games in large part to the defense which allowed 31.0 points per game over the two games.

While some might speculate that Ryan could join his brother Rex in New York, it isn't likely to be as defensive coordinator. The Jets recently promoted defensive backs coach Dennis Thurman to defensive coordinator and that isn't likely to change.

time to get a haircut...

Re: Ryan FIREDDDDDDDDDDD

The front office had put up with enough histrionics from Rob Ryan. The breaking point was when the team found out that he had a tattoo of Mrs. Jerry Jones in a Eli Manning jersey inked on his arm.

Re: Ryan FIREDDDDDDDDDDD

see why this is a tremendous stroke of luck for Sexy Wrecksie in the JST 2013...

Yep, Rob Ryan and not Jason Garrett is the problem in Dallas. Jerry Jones lost his marbles years ago.

I wish they'd move the Cowboys into the AFCE, in a trade for the Dolphins. Jerry Jones, Woody Johnson and the corpse of Ralph Wilson would mean that the Patriots should dominate the division for another 20-30 years.

 and also with the cowboys being Americas team our games against them would be nationally boradcast :D

Wow, guess this is what Jerry Jones meant when he said big changes were coming.

Sign the BEAST:D

That's some trifecta there Deus.

I'm not sure Stephen Ross is that much better.

It wouldn't shock me if Buffalo hires him to put some life into that defense, though they seem better suited to a 4-3.

I've never seen an assistant coach grandstand on the sidelines like that fat doofus.

Actually he used to work for the pats so who knows...

What, you want to get rid of Jennifer Lopez? Or did Marc Anthony get the Dolphins' interest in the divorce?

Meh I doubt he'd come back here. There was a reason Belichick never promoted him past LB coach.

In a min, I'll start the "Now that Rob Ryan is fired, do you think BB will call him to be defensive consultant" thread.

Mangini: Let's go to KFC for a bucket of extra crispy -whoever still has a job is paying, okay?
