Imagine he and Mankins at Guard, would be great but it's wishful thinking unless we trade up big.

What's wrong with Marcus Cannon playing RG?

Not as good as Jonathan Cooper.

Edit: Sorry, was a bit blunt there. Warmack is very good but he's a bit of a road grader. Jonathan Cooper is one of the most athletic interior linemen I've seen. He'd be a perfect fit for the Patriots. His movement skills are incredible.

Nothing, but Warmack jumps off the screen bro whenever i watch Bama.
A fair comment but as you already mentioned, the cost to acquire him will be prohibitive. I'd prefer to let BB do his thing with linemen.

Very good point but Chance's upside looks huge when i see him play, Cooper would be a steal. What's his projection?

Yeah i don't know how bill or more precisely Scarnecchia does it with these rotating lineman when the injuries pile up.

But imagine a top pick guard that would protect Tom all day, all night until he retires and then is there to ease the next QB in to the system? Sounds nice doesn't it.

Mid to late first. Most experts seem to have him rated higher than DeCastro and I concur although obviously not an expert.

I agree Warmack could be fantastic but when I watch Cooper, well let's just say I've developed a drafnik crush on him. Check out the play below to see how athletic Cooper is. Blocks two at the line, runs about fifty yards downfield with Gio Bernard, blocks a third and looks to block a fourth before being knocked over by a teammate.

He's the LG, #64.

Great anticipation and instincts aswell, that play shows it.

Yup. I think he'd make a great center and could even be a really good LT too. Similar size to Matt Light. He's my favourite choice for our first pick.

Warmack is looking pretty good right now.

#understatement.

Warmack is the best OG prospect I've seen since following the draft. Just a complete monster. Cooper is probably the most freakish athlete I've ever seen at OG though. Guys his size aren't suppose to move like that. I would love either guy, but would still take Barrett Jones over both.

He might be the best OL prospect I've ever seen. Ive only been following the draft for 5 years though so take that into consideration.

Amen to that my brother. Womack is really good, but won;t be on the board when we pick unless there is a monster run of D linemen and WRs. Jones on the other hand is an absolute beast, extremely versatile, smart and technically sound. He is plug and play from day 1 at OG and can be a backup swing OT in case Vollmer goes down again.

PS: If you want to see the best OG to come out of college since 1974, then you need to look up Steve Hutchinson (around 2001-2002). That was a man among boys.
