My sadness of the Pats not winning it all is tempered by the fact
that we were luckyin San Diego and the injuries to key players.

But could Indy have beaten San Diego in Sand Diego, I think not as SD offense is a good if not better than Indy's with LT so indy would not be able to wear down the D as much???

I did not see this mentioned in Media but any

Thoughts???

No one here is going to agree with me, but I think the answer is yes. The colts had the look of champions to me, starting at the very end of the regular season. What they needed, they got, and when they needed it. From goal line interceptions, to 7:00 minute game ending drives against arguably the best run defense in the world, to favorable bounces when it mattered, to balls bouncing off cross bars and in, to just missing sidelines by inches. Every year since partity started to reign in the NFL that's how its gone for the champs. And that's how it looked for the colts this year. That team, this year, would have found a way in San Diego. It probably wouldn't have been pretty, but I firmly believe they would have found a way to be at least a point better.

I don't care what happened in the AFC Championship or afterwards, the true Superbowl was the Pats vs Chargers.

No way Indy wins in SD.

Not sure. One thing for sure though...The Colts beat the Patriots in Indy on the way to becomming WORLD CHAMPIONS!

Hell no way they beat Diego in Diego, heck the Patriots really didn't beat them the Chargers beat themselves.

I don't agree.........the TRUE Super Bowl was Patriots Vs. Colts and the Colts won it outright.

Well we can agree on one thing, it sure as hell didn't include the Bears :D

No. San Diego's defense is has the players to frustrate Peyton Manning and put consistant pressure on him. The Chargers have the physical O-Line and running game to keep the Colts offense off the field. LT would have a field day and the Chargers would win the game. Oh well, we will never know, that's why there are playoff brackets and upsets happen.

A true SB would have involved SD- they were the best team in the league this season....sorry Indy fans, but your team has claimed to be the best the previous 3 years and somebody else took home the Lombardi so it works both ways.

Probably not. In Indy, a tired, flu ridden Patriot team had a 21-3 lead and only blew it due to penalties (legit and not), dropped passes and being worn out as the game went on. Indy won the SB. Good for them. It's in the history books and it's not changing. But let's not pretend they stomped us. A few questionable (or flat out wrong) calls went Indy's way and a few bad plays on our part did too. They played who was on the schedule and they (just) made it. I don't think they would have had SD beaten us.

Sure thing,
But, I tend to only file this event under the proverbial: "even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while" category.

I agree with you and in fact I think it is LUDICROUS to not agree with what you said.
Let me just get this straight. The team that won ZERO playoff games would have beaten the team that won 4 including the SB.

If you have learned anything from the Pats Championships, it is that Champions are Champions. The are Champs becuase the won big games, and they would have won no matter who else advanced.
The Chargers could not win when it mattered. They wouldn't have beaten the team that ultimately won every time it mattered.

i wanna say hell no, but marty's the coach and we proved against NE, that we can lose any winnable game if we play stupid enough to lose

Well from my view of the games, it took everything the Patriots had plus a few SD mistakes for NE to beat SD and it took everything Indy had plus a few NE mistakes for Indy to beat NE. SD looked like the better team to me and I am fully confident they would have beaten Indy . . . not that it matters now.

What the hell kind of reasoning is that? Neither team MADE IT TO THE SUPER BOWL.

Same stupid reasoning you guys have been using the past 3 years.

Annoying isn't it? :D

SD would have beaten Indy. I am 99.999995% sure of it.

Im 99.99999999999999997% sure you would not have beaten Oakland if you played them this season.
