Indy finally wins with a team that probably isn't as good as they were two-three years ago, and all of a sudden the rest of the NFL better "watch out". The guy that wrote this article acts like the Colts were the only team in the league or history that had to overcome obstacles.

That last part of the article is ridiculous. Two can play at that game: just imagine what would have happened to the Colts if KC's offense could have taken advantage of IND's turnovers, or McNair didn't get intercepted on the goalline, or the Patriots didn't have to fly across the country twice with a handful of guys battling the flu.

Indianapolis deserved the Super Bowl, but these type of articles are a joke and nothing more.

Ugh. That was sickening as well. Bob Sanders the best safety of his generation? Harrison mentioned in the same breath with Rice, a player who was flat out dominant in the playoffs while Harrison's playoff highlight reel is less than a minute long?

Never mind the fact this was the weakest team the NFC has trotted out since the 2000 Giants. Maybe weaker. That Giants D was scrappy and Tiki Barber is better than any player on the Bears offense and it's not even close.

I always felt the majority of the media were desperate for the Colts to win a title. Only now is it clear just how desperate they were. And the ballwashing has just begun. Len Pasquereli painted the most rosy picture possible about the Colts looming FA issues. It's going to be a long and difficult off-season for fans of 31 other teams sorting through the media adulation to find a nugget or two about their own teams.

Manning has stepped into Brady's reputational territory...but it ain't all roses. How many times have we been baffled that Brady didn't get it done b/c "he always gets it done"? Manning is being praised for being one of the "best ever", but what happens after he comes up small in another playoff game?

Trust me, Manning will wind up like Brett Favre. At the peak of his career he got a ring and could walk on water...but as the years go on, they are filled with more playoff disappointments that tarnish his reputation.

My sentiments exactly !!! Since I live In New Orleans, where Pay-me-a-ton is from, I can only imagine how all the local sycophants and accolites of Peyton Manning are creaming in their jeans. At least when the Saints were in the playoffs this year, he took a back seat, big time. But, I knew as soon as the Saints lost to that fraud in the windy city, the Peyton Manning fawning love fests would reach an all time high locally. I don't have the stomach to listen to ANY of it (local or national), and refuse to. Believe me, it works !!!!

If that happens, whether he wins another super-bowl or not, he will retire as the greatest quarterback of all-time. Winning the super-bowl, and the games mvp, was the final piece of the puzzle.

Whether the haters like it or not, thats a fact.

Well unfortunatly, that's what most people who either do not have a brain, or are just to lazy to think for a minute will come to realize. The problem with you, and most of the analysts out there, like Prisco, is that you look at the bottom line and say "wow, look at Mannings stats. he's the best ever". What makes him so great? That he can put up incredible regular season numbers? I wonder if you have realized that there is a difference between putting up great regular season numbers and great post season numbers. You dont play creampuffs in the post season. Brady's postseason numbers are better then Mannings. Not wins and loses, but stats. Brady has been better playing against the tougher opponents in the tougher games. I think that is more telling then how many regular season TD's or passing yards one can rack up. How about the fact that Peyton Manning has always had a much better surrounding cast then Brady. Or the fact that he plays 8 games a season (minimum) in a dome. And if you don't think that makes a difference, check out Brady's dome stats. Comperable, if not better then Mannings. Same goes for when you look at Mannings outdoor stats. They take a significant drop off.
