To me it seems like we haven't played our best. With either having Aaron or gronk out and then with our secondary being hurt, can we possibly see the pats play their best this season during the playoffs??

We could see them play their best ball, or their worst, or maybe their most average. This isn't baseball, you can't just predict things unfortunately.

Yeah but is it possible they can start playing better because it seems there has been 1 department every game they haven't been the best at.

There is every reason to think the best is yet to come. We have yet to see their best secondary play with their best pass rushing defensive front. With Brady and Gronk coming back the focus is understandably on the offense, but I think the defense will take a backseat to nobody in the playoffs and will, for the first time in a long time, have the machine firing on all cylinders.

That's what I am thinking, they will all start clicking.

Hell no. As noted above, we have yet to see our best secondary with our best pass rushing combo. We have best to see our two tight ends and our OL healthy. And we haven't come close to seeing it all together.

So could we see this team playing there best this playoff season. I think with the bye we will be as close to healthy as we can be and should be good to go IMO.

I think this may be the same deal this year as the Patriots had last season. I like the fact that the Patriots have had a few bad performances, so that they can refocus themselves. Rather have the Patriots get all of their wrinkles out on the regular season than the postseason.

The best of this team has yet to be seen. They've been having lots of key injuries during the season and most of them are getting healthy at the right time. Add to that they get a bye week to heal up.

Once Talib, Dennard, Gronk, Ninkovich heal up, this team will be ready to go for another run at the Super Bowl.

All systems are GO. Cunningham (back), Jones (back), Gronk (back), Talib and Dennard (expect to be back), so what is not to like about the timing of the injuries? What is not to like about the blend of players they can put on the field?

Yes, their first playoff game will also be a first for getting them all on the field for the first time this season. They sure ain't gonna play worse ball.

Don't forget getting this beast back healthy for the first time in weeks

Hernandez should be good to go also, finally be able to do alot more damage.

I'm of the view they are about to peak for the play-offs. i think they have gotten lucky and are getting healthy for the play-offs, and that they have been building week by week on both sides of thre ball for the tournament. They could always lay an egg and get the early exit but i would be really surprised by that and think a good run is much more likely.

That's what I have seen, they are ready to finally break out.

I think it would be safe to say that we've seen samples of both. Texans = best and Jax = worst. Hopefully they can play consistently and at their best for the next 3 games.

Have seen bits and pieces of what the potential of this team can be, Houston and Miami come to mind...

But have yet to see four quarters of football from all three phases operating on all cylinders, it may never happen..

Our depth is obvious and scary.

I've maintained that this was THE most important bye that BB has achieved in his time here.

This team needed the time off in a major way to get some folks healed up but also needed more practice time as to get players like Gronk, AH, Vollmer, Spikes and Lloyd more time to get recalibrated with their respective units.

They are going to win next Sunday. They are going to win the AFCCG and they are going to win the Super Bowl.

I think the Pats have been fine on ST's and offense but not on defense. I also think the Pats are on the verge of having a defense that can come close to matching the offense.

In many phases, yes, there's a real opportunity to peak.

I worry about the plays that Edelperson would have been on the field had he not been injured. Probability is that we will lose one long punt return and a couple of third down completions without him, given that his time will be taken up by Welker on punts and Branch on third down.

No they haven't. That's what makes these playoffs so interesting and exciting. Talib, Dennard and Jones are all back. Looks like Ninky is fine.
Gronk is back and the entire offense has gotten a badly needed rest.
Love N'Orleans this time of year. :D
