Broncos: Easiest path to the #1 seed ever?

The game is weeks away, if it's even going to happen. Shouldn't you be trolling the boards of the Bengals, Colts and Ravens?

He went to the Rex Ryan school of bear poking.

Guys we were up 31-7 on the Broncos with all of the following

1) No Talib
2) Dennard was not starting corner
3) McCourty at corner with the doofus twins Gregory and Chung at safety
4)Hernandez out with a bad ankle
5) Gronk was in his awful slump due to his ankle and bad hip

Is playing in Mile High really going to trump adding talib, dennard, mccourty at safety, hernandez, and a healthier gronk?

Oh all that BS about Manning still figuring out that new offense (the same one he ran in Indy cough) is a load of crap the Denver offense is the same as it was then. Here are Mannings quarterback rating starting the week BEFORE the game against us.

vs Oakland: 130.0
@Patriots : 115.4
@ SD : 129.0
vs NO : 138.9
@ Bengals : 105.8
@ Carolina : 103.1

16 tds 3 picks

His highest quarterback rating stretch of the season was these 6 games he's been good lately but worse than this stretch! And somehow the Broncos are better than they were? The defense might be "better" but its the same guys we have roasted 3 times

Those boards aren't worth trolling because we all know how this will end up. I want a head start to have some friendly conversaion with the most ****y fanbase in the league.

I give props to the Pats fans on this board who recognize that they aren't invincible and there are actually threats out there that they need to be worried about.

For the other 95% of you....

I wish I could post a picture of Manning leaving the Super Bowl upset but he's been there so few times that I can't

The stupidity of posting a picture of a Super Bowl loss on that team's message boards is something you're not bright enough to figure out, I see. Well, you won't last long around here. Trolling is one thing. Idiotic trolling is another.

As for knowing how this will end up, your team's QB is arguably the biggest choking dog in the history of the game. It's as likely that Denver will get waxed in the first game as it is that they'll make it to the next round.

I am hoping he gets to 13 posts against a board of posters with little authority to ban him, so his results will mirror the Broncos as much as possible.

I think that the Broncos will be a difficult opponent, but Manning's performance in the postseason is less than stellar. From Bleacher Report:

"...yet for a man with such success between September and December, a 9-10 playoff record seems a bit underwhelming.

One aspect that's been consistent throughout Manning's playoff career is that he fairs much better at home than on the road. He's 6-4 at home, and only 2-5 on the road, with a split record of 1-1 in Super Bowls played on neutral grounds.

Manning's accuracy has also faltered a bit in his playoff career. Career-wise, Manning has thrown 429 touchdowns and only 208 interceptions, yet he's thrown 29 playoff touchdowns and 19 playoff interceptions, making for a much less favorable ratio. He also boasts a career passer rating of 95.5 and a playoff passer rating of only 88.4."

quite possibly THE most sarcastically eviscerating post in board history...I SALUTE you sir!

I was responding to the guy who was making pre-emptive excuses that the NFL would somehow rig the game with a Manning win in a Broncos/Pats matchup.

I can see reading comprehension is not your strong suit.

Well I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt, but I think as much as you attempted to include bias in your comments, the fan in you is strong.

first, the Saints and bucs werent "streaking", the Saints just finished a 2-5 stretch to start their worst season with brees at the helm, and the Bucs were piling up points on bad teams and giving up even more to good ones.

Secondly, yes you did play an easy schedule. A Very EASY SCHEDULE. We dont blame you for this, its not your fault, but lets not make mountains out Bengals here. Losing against high quality opponents is not a badge of honour, its a sizeable question that doesnt have a feasible answer at this time. Beating the Bengals(?!?) on the road, and the artist formally known as the Ravens doesnt exactly instill confidence at this point. The great thing about football is you always get to prove yourself again, and Denver will have to do exactly that.

What i do agree with is that denver has used the season to get better and work out the kinks in their system, becoming Colts west. They needed the easy schedule for the time to build up to allow Peytons receivers to earn his trust and defense to have the confidence to pin their ears back and get after the QB.

Fortunately, the Pats have not only gotten better since we played last, but also healthier, which means we also are in great position to prove ourselves worthy of the opportunity to show up and earn respect. They will most certainly be up for the challenge of Manning, Manning will most certainly be up for the challenge of the Pats. The question will be, if it gets to that point, whether the rest of the broncos are as well.

1. Correct, but you conveniently left out that they had won 2 in a row and were playing their best football. They also followed up the loss to us with 3 straight wins, including giving the falcons their first loss. At this time the Saints were a team that were in the hunt.

2. Your Bucs point is more valid, but the Broncos completely shut down a good offense until a couple of 4th Q. garbage time TD's

3. Yes beating the Bengals... you know, the 2 straight playoff team that beat Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Washington, and the Giants (when they were still good.)

4. Yes the Ravens, they were only missing 4 starter that game while the Broncos were missing 3. They had a 3 game losing strak to 3 GOOD teams while really banged up and everyone wants to discount them. Keep in mind that they beat NE.

5. Agreed, but a quick review of the Patriots' road record reveals some pretty scary problems for them when they come to Denver. They are 0-2 against teams over .500 on the road. And they struggled mightily against very bad teams in Miami and Jacksonville in their last 2 road games, only winning 23-16 in both of them.

You want to post pictures Bronco Troll??

Here's one for you,in case you forgot

Manning is god awful in the playoffs that he needs rigging to get even close to the super bowl (COUGH FACE GUARDING)

I'm calling it now in the AFC championship game the Pats will be up 3 touchdowns, Manning will score one to make it a 2 score game and then get a bogus PI call to get him 1st and goal at the 5 yard line and an easy score to help him win. Too bad TB12 and the Pats will smash the Broncos after that

:D Enjoy 2 weeks of delusion you may not even win your first game

They're a good team, although I think they're overrated. They'll have a chance to measure up in the playoffs, and all will be decided.
That's the way I see it Deus. As of now, the teams are in a tournament. A little fortune this way or that way will define a season.

Dang you guys mad.

Hope I last here long enough to eviscerate a few of you in the argument department. Bring it on.

We're not mad. We're bored. You clowns show up all the time, and you almost never bring anything now. To make matters worse, you're 2 weeks early. Come back after the divisional round, and bring better smack with you when you do.

Bro, don't be annoying on other's boards. Denver fans know about the sence of arrogant invincibility that NE fans carry, but is probably because theyre annual competitors. That doesnt excuse them from shortsightedness but also doesnt give you an excuse to be obnoxious.

You're being just as obnoxious

Goodell has it exactly the way he wanted it all along....his wonderful aw shucks country corn pone poster boy with the dramatic comeback from near death heroism...home field all the way through....I'm betting he has his fixer ,Mike Carey, ready to work the AFC championship game....we have all seen this movie before....krist, the pats were called for twice as many penalties at home this season versus the Broncs, good Lord can you imagine what Carey will call out there?? then again, given the yee haw demographic, perhaps Jeff Triplette and the cowboy refs from hell will work that contest...if it happens.

We've already seen the Peytie fix at work when he was in Indy...I expect no difference in Denver.
