Every year it flies by so fast, and whatever happens in the next few weeks, the NFL season will be over in about a month. Such a bummer. No other sport compares.

If our boys come through this year I.will, as I always vow, go and review my game recordings in sequence to pass the time :p Slow, tension-free savoring...

It's always a little sad. I start getting anxious about it a bit around Week 10. If everything ends the way I'd like to see it, I can live with a long offseason. But, yeah, it's always tough to say goodbye to football. I'd watch hockey, but **** bettman...

Indeed. The lean times approacheth, and I hate that time between the SB and the draft. It means I have to start doing actual research and writing again, rather than spend my time surfing football sites and hanging around PatsFans.

I'm pumped, the real season starts! Two straight weeka when you have two great football games both on Saturday and Sunday too.

I just hope I'm interested until February, make as much of the winter pass as possible.........

As a spoiled Pats fan, I just need 1 more SUPER BOWL VICTORY...getting through the off-season will be much easier if we take home the Lombrady trophy this year...that's what I asked for for Christmas! I don't think I can deal with another painful loss in the playoffs :(

I don't understand why the UFL didn't play in the NFL offseason.

Would totally watch

I really don't understand why everytime the best part of the whole season comes up (the playoffs) people start looking AHEAD to the season being over and getting sad about.

How about just enjoying the next month? You waited all year to get to this part

Also, this is why the NFL is great. It leaves you wanting more.

Football season is coming to an end. And it always flys by. There aren't 10 games on every weekend anymore. Always loved that. now only a few and if pats exit in 2nd round...we only have 3 weeks left of patriots football ect

That would suck b/c I will not watch playoffs/SB as long as there is a Manning playing - and I do not mean Eli.

you have to watch when a manning is in the playoffs...so you can root for the other teams

Mebbe Football and Baseball can swap schedules? 16 Sox games and 162 Pats?

Actually, my not watching has become a bit of a superstition - it seems to work with PM - at least more times than not.

see even if denver beats pats this year..i will still watch rest of playoffs...either way they aren't going to beat the NFC team going to the SB if they make it

Hopefully it will be a long and fulfilling postseason.

I always am saddened that the seasons ending, but I always love March and April with FA and the draft. After that from May to July I really miss football.

If the Pats don't win the superbowl...THAT will unnerve me in the offseason!!!! with flames and burning embers within

Agreed. The NFL draft is like Christmas in April.
