They had to know it was coming. I didn't watch a lot of Bears' games this year but just watching the playoff game vs. Seattle it was obvious Gross Rexman couldn't play.

I thought you were going to say poor Bears fans because it's probably 20 more years 'til they get back to the super bowl. JMO, but, Grossman and Lovie: not what it takes. Did you see Urlacher growling at the Bears bench about the defensive sets that were being sent in? Just one indicator. And Grossman is grossly unfit, even physically to win the big one. Too small, weak arm, small hands, slow.

I know someone on the Bears coaching staff. He was with the Bills and went to 4 Sb's with no ring, now with the Bears make it 5 SB's and no ring.

I do feel bad for this guy.

From the sounds of it the stadium was mostly Bears fans.Yes,you have to feel for them. I haven't heard much from the Bears' camp or really any fan reaction;should be interesting.

How frustrating for them too, forcing turnovers then to see their RBs fumble them away so quickly.

I have to admit to not watching large portions of the game in disgust of how much the Bears were giving those opportunities away, but those plays are major swing plays, that cost the Bears points and gave points to the Colts.

Those were the difference makers in the game. The Bears have no one to blame but themselves.

I just couldn't help feeling sorry for Urlacher and the Bears D-they really played their hearts out. But when your O is going three and outs, it means you're going to be out there for a LONG time, regardless.

The Bears D were playing well early on, it wasn't there fault they had to come on the field WAY too many times.

Rex started out OK but as the missed opportunities piled up and with half of his running back tandem sitting out the last three quarters he totally fell apart. Reminds me of a lifelong problem I've had when I play the piano or type - I can breeze along like nobody's business when I'm not thinking about it, then once I realize what I'm doing it suddenly disolves into #&%$()%$lashdfjls;^*$%)(#&*)(_#*)(_@*djkl;jskal;q43ht9-hurepwq758y43u3*^.

Therefore I realize I'm not really a viable keyboarder. All the talking heads were defending Rex last night as a good young QB who just needs time...I don't think time will help him any more than it did me.

Rex has been throwing up some stinkers in the regular season as well. Going in we all knew Rex was the weakest link and he showed it. He could not move the offense when he needed to. And the Colts defense gets even tougher when playing with a lead because they just tee off on the passer in those situations. That 16-14 lead at the half might as well have been 2 touchdowns the way the Bears offense was struggling with Rex at the helm.

It's amazing that the Chicago Bears were only down 22-17 with 11:59 left in the fourth quarter, especially with Rex Grossman at quarterback.
