Almost all of these are with Peyton Manning at quarterback.

Their rush D is pretty atrocious as well.

Regardless, I think/hope the Texans will lay an egg and hand the Patriots the 2 seed.

From what I have seen of the Colts, I agree. Their run D is porous. On offense they are not very potent. The do seem to play with poise -- something I attribute to the years of being in the playoffs/being a winning organization. If the Texans don't run all over them and the Colts can keep it close, the Colts can pull this thing out due to their poise.

As far as us all being Colts fans? I'm greedy. I'm a Colts and Chiefs fan on Sunday. The #1 seed is still there for us! :D

Pretty much the story of their franchise. All those years rooting for them to beat the Colts and they always seemed to choke on the big one. May that continue.

And, um, go Chefs.

I'll never be a Colts fan. I'll only root for them on sunday :D.

No, but the Colts can't stop the run, which doesn't bode particularly well for them on Sunday. Their best chance is to hope that the Texans defense continues it's late season mediocrity to give Luck and the offense a chance to match points.

Amen brother. But if they tank this game and were putting up a front all week, my hate for them would go to an all new level

If they pull their starters. . . . :enranged:

I honestly cannot recall a time when we ever got any help from anyone that we needed re: the playoffs in the last week of the season.

In 2001 strangely enough it was the Jets beating Oakland to help us get a first round bye. And a myriad of other games in the last couple weeks of the season went exactly as they need to. The only time I can recall we truly had good fortune depending on other teams to win.

But yes since then we've had very bad luck with this.
2002 - **** you Brett Favre
2004 - Steelers simply wouldn't lose a game down the stretch, #2 seed despite being 14-2
2008 - **** you again Brett Favre

Seriously. I wouldn't be as pissed if they didn't make a point to come out beforehand and give all this 'it's not in our blood to quit' talk and then tanked the game. But if they did it NOW that'll truly piss me off.

I watched the first game and it looked like the Colts could go toe to toe with them. Unfornately, Indy left alot of points on the board early on, I think they had 2 red zone opportunities and only came away with 3 points - one scoring chance spoiled by Mewelde Moore fumbling on the GL. They really blew their chances and Houston took advantage, but despite that the Colts had a shot at the end.

I think with this game in Indy, if the Colts come to win like they say they are, they have a great shot. I would actually pick Indy if it was a must win for them. But it's hard to know just how seriously they take this game, even if they 'try' it still might not be the same effort as if they were to have truly needed this game to get a playoff spot.

Houston has looked like absolute garbage in the past month+ but they did beat Indy with relative ease a few weeks ago. That said they haven't exactly been stellar on the road. Their only road wins by more than a TD were against Jax in week 2 and Tennessee a few weeks ago. Other than that, the Pats handed then their asses, The Jets and Bears would have beaten them with even mediocre QB play, Detroit would have beaten them if their coach wasn't an idiot, and then there's Denver who started the season slowly. Hopefully Indy puts up a hell of a fight and wins one for Pagano.

i'll root for Indy not because it gives us a chance at bye, it's because indy won quite a few games without Pagano and it'd be nice if they win one with him now :)

Besides the first Colts game, Arian Foster hasn't been great this year. He has been run into the ground, hopefully the Colts can stop him this time around.

Packers in 2002 couldn't win for us vs. the Jets.

The one time we wanted the Jets to win a game in 2008 when it mattered most they laid an egg vs. the Fins. I

Nope, historically when it comes to situations like this, the team we want to win normally lays an egg. Hopefully it'll be different this time around.

I watched the last game and the game was a lot closer than the score suggests. It was a 6 point difference going into the 4th. Colts had a blocked punt and fumbled on the one yard line about to score. Hou got a free TD plus stopped a TD. Without those mistakes, I think the game would have been closer.

Colts will win win. Pagano gets his feel good return win. We get our bye.

NFL gets Luck/Manning match up.

Manning gets his "revenge" and shows the "rookie" who's boss.

We advance and meet Manning next.

NFL gets Brady/Manning match up.

Even ESPN is in on it....
NFL Upset Watch: Week 17

Upset Watch appears every Thursday this season for ESPN Insider, as Football Outsiders uses a proprietary formula to forecast the expected point spread of each game based on current DVOA ratings (explained here) and, early in the season, our DVOA projections. Each week, we highlight the most likely upset in a game with a line of more than three points, plus an additional game in which a significant underdog has a strong chance to cover.

It has been decided. Sit back and relax ;)

This. Nobody ever helps us. We can only help ourselves and that ship sailed when we lost to SF.
