Meh. Who cares? He's just a system quarterback. Peyton Manning is still the better actor. Did you see his Buick commercial? OMG he was so great. The way he alluded to audibles in the NFL...Papa Bear, Papa Bear...so awesome! And he gave me a free pepperoni pizza! What has Tom ever given me?

I do think that Peyton is a good actor and I like that Buick commercial. But hell will have to freeze over before I ever buy a Buick.

What's funny is the notion that an NFL QB - not to mention Peyton Manning - drives a friggin Buick. It is amusing, though, and for that reason I hope to see Tom repping the Chevy Aveo.

Doesn't Brady already do the Dodge Dart commericals?

You guys have it wrong. The festivities will come next week when he passes Unitas. The fireworks crews are already hard at work planning the show.

Doesn't Brady already do the Dodge Dart commericals?

Yeah, but he's not a good enough actor to actually climb into one as if that's what he drives.

I wanna see big Vince in a fiat 500.

that makes this record much less impressive.

Not for Brady. I'm pretty sure he's actually done it in 47 straight regular-season games.

Due to the differences in the 2 eras Unitas's record stands apart, no offense to TFB who will break Brees's record while not caring about the record.

It's going to be funny when Brady does it next season against New Orleans (you know the NFL will schedule it that way) and Brady just jogs off the field after Brees and the Saints literally stopped the game to celebrate it.

Well, the OL may carry him off the field, but that's about it. ;)

You know, this streak did cross my mind as we got into the third quarter of the game against San Fran. At that point it was looking like they wouldn't get any scores. Of the four TDs, one of them was a throwing TD to keep the streak alive.

With 12:17 left in the fourth quarter Brady kept the streak alive with a TD pass to Aaron Hernandez.

Of the 47 games, I wonder if that's the latest in the game that he got his first TD pass of the game.

This, like every other passing/receiving record being broken these days, is delegitamized by the dramatic change of the NFL becoming a passing league. Unitas' record will always be that much more impressive.

Not saying it is easy, just a little less impressive in today's NFL.

Props to TB though.

Wtf NOW the sports world doesnt care about this record anymore?! You have to wonder if NO et al thought Brees was gonna go on forever, and how perilous the streak really was with TB in the hunt.

Also agreed that Johnny Us record is much much much more impressive in era context.

Yes the passing game is just so heavily favored in today's NFL, Polian saw to that. Brees and Stafford both may end up with back to back 5000 yard seasons, hell they might break Marino's old record again. Both of those teams have bottom of the league rushing offenses so you can almost expect the passing yards but look at Brady, he'll likely top 4800 passing yards with a top 10 running game.
