However, R. Harrison is at the end of his career and coincidently
Nelson is the best available player. He will add an instant spark to a depleted secondary.
he prototypical CB at 6'1" 200 lbs. with speed and coverage skills to go with it,
so he can help fill that gaping hole in the Saints' secondary.

28. New England Patriots - Sidney Rice, WR South Carolina
Caldwell dropping passes throughout the season and post-season may have
cost the Patriots another Super Bowl trip. Rice may not be ready to start from
day 1, but he is an amazing physical talent and by season's end will develop into their best receiver, just in time for the playoffs.

The Patriots under Belicik have always had good CBs, starting with Law
and now Samuels. Unfortunately ,Law became a FA and left for the Jets,
could Samuels do the same. Many teams would love to land a player like
Samuels and plenty have the money to do it. We all know Pats will not cough up the maximum amount of money like Deion Branch. So what's beliciks solution? Draft another outstanding CB. McCauley is a ball hawk and a great tackler. Side Note: 2nd String CB Randall Gay is also a FA.

He is also one of the greatest collge leaders I have ever seen. The Patriots are all about leaders as they probably have 10 of them. Belicik loves players like this. He will give up an arm for Siler

24. New England(from Seattle): Marcus McCauley CB Fresno State. A really raw prospect from a Belichek disciple (Hill). If they can keep Hobbs and get Gay back, McCauley will get to sit and learn from one of the greatest defensive staffs out in the league. A boom/bust prospect.

28. New England: Anthony Gonzalez WR OSU. A really polished WR who can play either Flanker or split end. Fills a major need for the Pats.

As usual, national mocks are clueless with comments like the one about Caldwell somehow costing us a Super Bowl appearance. That guy helped solidify that receiving corps. I don't know what we would've done without him. Idiots.

bottom line...i would cry if hte pats took sidney rice or gonzalez...NO 1st round WR please! although i wouldnt be dissapointed with Bowe to be honest...dido with johnson Jarratt and Ginn (NO GONNA HAPPEN)...
keep this in mind though...the 1st round is a place to draft players that are going to be ready to peform in the 1st few years...drafting a player that needs 3+ years to develop isnt going to cut it financially because we are paying big bucks for these guys.. thats why i think BB/SP have drafted guys (DT,DE,RB,OL) in the first round recently...they are ready to play pretty much day 1...they dont need to memorize as many schemes or anything, pretty much all of them just run as fast and hard as they can go for as long as they can (you know what i mean) while CB,S,LB,QB requires more learning..just a thought

gonzalez, a projected 3rd rounder....taken in the 1st round.....

just shows how clueless this guy is, whoever made this mock should actually do some homework, instead of just picking out names they heard over the college season....yeah gonzalez is good, but not 1st round good, not 2nd round good, will never be "taken by NE in the 1st round good"

What is intriguing about Okoye is that he's 19. Meaning that he may still have a growth spurt left in him. However, I just don't see the Pats spending a pick on a D-lineman who sits on the bench. Though Okoye could free up one roster spot by eliminating both Hill and LeKevan Smith.

At the Senior Bowl he weighed in at 6'2", 287 lbs. Those other numbers are from his official biography at the Louisville Cardinals website.
