Anyone else notice this? And Brady seems to take more of a beating. I've said it before - Logan Mankins is the second mst overrated Patriot, behind Richard Seymour.

Partially agree. Careerwise he's not overrated but hes been awful this season.

Because Mankins is a great offensive lineman and deserves every bit of his contract.

Mankins is felt even when he has bad games.

When Mankins is healthy, he's one of the top Guards in football. The problem is, he's hardly healthy. Last years SB playing on a torn knee, this year, I bet he's only playing at about 75%. When he's 100% healthy, I love his talent and nastiness.

Lol.....I'm sure it has nothing to do with the opponent

Mankins got his big contract after the 2010 season, but he played the 2nd half of the season, as fresh as a daisy, against guys that had a half a season of wear and tear.

Definitely overpaid. I haven't seen enough tape to know why we can't run. But it is weird. His replacement was doing pretty well. I was surprised they signed him to his huge contract...there's a limit to the huge contracts any team can have...you can't "pay" everyone. Welker, Vollmer, etc., then spikes mccourty then solder...eventually they need an influx of talent.

I wish he would rest with the other dinged up players. Looks like he needs it

Nastiness is not, after the whistle has blown, pushing the guy that beat you to sack the quarterback.

Mankins has been overrated for a while, yet somehow, someway, he manages to make the Pro Bowl and a better and more deserving player like Solder comes in 5th in the Pro Bowl voting. Watch the film and you'll see who is more worthy.

Donald Thomas actually played better at LG when he had filled in. And I am not kidding.

Agree, my point exactly. In fact, after a couple of games of Thomas at LG, I said Mankins should have to warn his starting job back, and not have it handed back to him like it was. I hope when Tom was chewing out the offense earliest today, he was looking right at Mankins because he sucked.

From what I saw it wasn't Mankins that played badly today. It was Wendell and Connolly.

Agreed. Wendell and Connolly (at RG) really scare me going into the playoffs. I don't get what their obsession with Wendell is. I'd rather have Connolly at C and Thomas at RG.

We have bingo! Thomas played very well for us this year. Haven't watched the game yet (just got off work), but seems the o tried to give it away in the first...

Why don't you explain why you and Dante don't see this issue eye to eye?

And I am not kidding.

Obviously Mankins has been playing hurt. Why do we need a star calculator to figure that out? Why do we not trust what Dante sees over fan theories? I'm not saying it's bad to make a theory but I think it's ridiculous to proclaim it as truth without taking Dante's judgment into it.

Mankins was not the O-Line problem today. Wendell and Connolly were being manhandled all game. And same last week.

Thomas is very good at LG but not so much at RG.

Pure economics my friend, the 2nd highest paid Guard in Pro Football can't be watching from the bench, even you can figure that out right ?

You did watch the games when Donald Thomas filled in for him right ? How did the ground game and pass blocking look in those games ? Exactly.....

I'm not a big fan of overpaid, overrated players, sorry. And Mankins is one of those players. Check out his previous Superbowl performances in case you forgot.

Lets face it "The O line" sucked today collectively

Hmmm, I always thought the team would do better when the best players play.

I also remember when Brady, who was being paid very little, played, while Bledsoe rode the bench, who was being paid quite a bit.
