The Patriots have won 4 of the last 5 games despite being with out their 2nd best player in Gronk. IMO Gronk is also the 2nd most unstoppable offensive weapon in the NFL behind Calvin Johnson.

Chandler Jones also missed 3 of the 5 games.

Spikes, Talib, Dennard, Connolly, Vollmer, Mankins, Chung who are all starters also each missed at least 1 game during that 5 game period.

Kudos to the Patriots for their 800 win percentage despite the adversity.

Did Talib play today?

I didn't know that Wilfork was out for the last 5 games....Vince is the teams 2nd best player,Gronk may be tied with Wes for third if you want to grade the roster in terms of importance.

We can agree to disagree. Wilfork is a very good player but Gronk is a top 5 player in the NFL (QB not included)

Gronk 4th because I don't think that we coulda won the games without Welker but with Gronk in. Maybe...

Love Gronk of course but Peterson has to go 2nd in the NFL.

Think you are right. Seems like when a team D can take Welk out of the equation....Very hard for Pats and the team to win. Last week welk didn't catch a ball until what...3rd quarter....Gronk is also extremely important

Debatable point whether Peterson has a bigger per-play impact, but GRONK is on the field so much more than most RBs that his total impact is larger.

our offense is still "good" without gronk, but you can clearly see how he makes us much better with his ability to block/catch

What makes GRONK so great is that he can block, he can run routes, . . . and he can do both on the same play.

AND, he makes Brady, Welker, Hernandez, and Lloyd better. Man, if this team could ever stay healthy, they'd be so friggen dangerous. Need everybody healthy and on board for the playoffs.

Also, I don't think we ever played a game where we had a full, healthy game (Welker, Lloyd, Gronkowski, Hernandez & Edelman). If we had ALL of those guys healthy and playing in the same game, and that's almost unfair lol. Add Ridley, Woodhead and Vereen, very explosive.

So excited to have him back and FINALLY see Brady go to work with BOTH TEs playing together healthy for the first time since week 1!

It's going to be good.

A fully healthy Patriots team throughout the year, along with Talib at the beginning of the year, probably could have went undefeated :singing:
