Nice article and thanks for the link.

The author thinks the Broncs are a year away, IMO the Pats D will be better (maybe a lot) next year and the O will be as good.

Actually I like to think of Gillette Stadium as The Stadium My Family Built. ;)

God knows we must have single-handedly made the Krafts very, very rich. Us kids ate nothing but Kraft Macaroni and Cheese for 18 years and continued to do so in college (Ramen Noodles can GFO).

And having written this I think I'll go buy a couple blue boxes right now..

Except....you do know Kraft isn't THAT Kraft? He makes paper products.

I don't want to get ahead of ourselves. If we don't win today and Peytie Pie wins out, then we might have a trip to Denver's house, which isn't much fun for us either. We really need to win this game today!

I'm making the assumption that there is a tongue-cheek summit meeting going on here :D

:) Yea, I think they may have built a new wing at their Northfield, Ill headquarters. And made some share holders around the world pleased...:p

What?! Our buying cases of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese didnt go to help build Gillette Stadium?

That's one dream shattered, thanks ;)

Great piece in today's Denver Post:
The author doesn't even hint at how he divined this raising of the white flag by the Broncos front office and QB. I doubt that either Peyton or Elway raise white flags. The ball can bounce a funny way on any given Sunday, so why count your chickens either way?

OTOH, it isn't a bad thing (as a journalist) to recognize that you are outclassed and need a miracle to win. I just doubt that the team looks at the playoffs that way. The playoffs are where any team (like Seattle vs NO) can pull off the upset. Anybody remember when Mark Brunell ruined the Bronco's hopes in '96? That's the only reason the Patriots made the SB. You just never know what will happen.

The Broncos and Ravens are going in opposite directions, me thinks. I can't see the Broncos losing today. I'll be quite surprised if they lose. Their offense is not up to snuff with the Patriots but it's still way too much for the Ravens' faltering defense.

Good luck with your other dream (having a bowel movement in the next 12 months.)

I always have to doctor that junk up. Extra real cheese of all varieties just to overcome my gag reflex.

Scary as it seems the O might be better too with

(1) Health Gronk and Hernandez hopefully
(2) Integration of Ballard?
(3) If Lloyd can build on his Texans game
(4) Maybe add a real deep threat
(5) Increased use of Vereen in the receiving game

That article nails it in one regard. (a) The Pats, who have always had trouble in Denver in December and January, don't want to play there next month. (b) Peyton has nightmares about Foxboro in the winter and he doesn't want any part of playing there next month. So, let's win out and make sure that any game between these two teams this season is at Gillette.

Otherwise, I don't know how any writer who follows the NFL for a living can say the any team is "one year away" from anything in this league. A season is always an eternity and even a week can be an epoch. Who knows what condition a 37 year old Manning's neck and arm will be in next September? Probably better than 28 other QB's, but that's still a long time away.

For now, let's hope the Pats can get it together after a short week and come out on top tonight and then let's all take it from there.

If the Patriots win out, a Broncos/Pats match up is almost inevitable.

1. Hou
2. NE
3. Den
4. Bal
5. wc
6. wc

I guess you are assuming the return of Welker, Edelman and Vollmer.
