I'm glad they will. I hear the NYG will as well. The more teams the better. They released the names and ages of the victims today. Most were 6 years old.

Six years old.

They'll also send up 26 flares during the moment of silence

Some of those teachers are amazing human beings, glad the Pats will be honoring the victims.

And the Janitor, too. Apparently he ran through the school halls warning of the gunman, yelling to classrooms to get down, hide, etc... The principal and School psychologist charged the shooter, and were shot to death in the process, but not before someone turned on the PA so classrooms could hear the commotion giving classrooms as early a warning as possible.

There were lots of heroes who knowingly gave their lives to save as many kids as they could, and reports are it could have been far worse had they not acted the way they did. May God Bless them.

What a horrible thing to happen. Pure innocence lost. Something like this really makes sports seem so irrelevant. :(

The PA was on because they were just about to give the morning announcements.. It was coincidence.

Six/seven year old kids, all. They still believe in Santa, they aren't yet too cool to laugh and smile as they ride the carousel, they still just want to spend their time with their mommy and daddy.

Death was too good for that @#$.

The decals are a nice, if small, gesture, typical of Kraft.

It is so sad what happened. I am glad that the Patriots will wear those decals. It is so scary knowing that this happened so close to where I live. I am not even 20 minutes from Newtown, CT. I almost bought a house in Newtown as well. I also found out that one of the teachers that were killed, I knew. My Fiance and I met her and her boyfriend at a Halloween Party this year. We were asking her about the Newtown School System for our son. It is so sad for those poor kids, their life was just beginning and was taken away because of guy was jealous that his mother was giving the kids more attention than him. I hope the guy burns in hell and I hope he is screaming in agony right now!

Perfect. I've always wanted to have tears streaming down my face during kickoff.

Great gesture, and something I've come to expect from this organization.

Six years old......Average age is SIX FCKING YEARS OLD.........What the he(( is so WRONG with our soceity that we have people deciding that not only are they going to take their own MISERABLE life(which is bad enough).....BUT THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE OUT 20 (TWENTY) FCKING 6 YEAR OLD, INNOCENT....underline INNO_FCKIN_CENT CHILDREN!!!!!! I have a 7 year old daughter....and I am looking at her right now....This version of the USA that we are living in....is NOT the same USA that most of us grew up in. There are MORE sick Bastids in this country than ever before......Schools need to establish MILITARY type security and have several armed guards at this point. If some a-hole walks through the front door and doesn't stop when asked to....you blow his %#_)@ing head off.......Sorry guys....but this stuff has to stop.....these are innocent kids with their WHOLE ******* lives ahead of them......and its all taken away....My prayers and thoughts go out to the families of the deceased....Very, very sad day in American history and unless we do things to stop it......it will continue

There is a Rand-Whitney less than a mile from the school.

I'll be bringing tissues. I got tears in my eyes when my girlfriend told me about it. I printed a copy of the decal and I'm gonna put it on my fire helmet that I wear to the games.

every team in NFL is doing moment of silence tomorrow

I just read that the Jets are, as well. Whatevs, I'm not going to hold it against any team right now.

At any rate, I'm so angry at this evil pig I could ******* spit.

CT is a NY fan state....giants and jets fans galore in CT of course they are going to do something..they are basically part of the tri state area down there

Who cares what team does what or wears what? This is all so sad. I was watching a news coverage of this story this morning. They showed a picture of two of the young victims. Two sweet little girls. It broke my heart, and brought tears to my eyes. All I could think was they were so young. How could this guy do something so evil to these beautiful young children?
Jets, Giants, Patriots it really doesn't matter which team does what. This tragedy has touched everyone. :(

All of the laws that can be passed, and even the security guards are largely worthless. What is missing (and is of a statement of our society in general) is that we no longer teach the value of human life and we know longer educate our children on the topic of respect.

Respect for one another, respect for adults, respect for life. When the children become adults, they have not learned to try harder when they fail- (no keeping score. Everyone gets a trophy) they can't cope with failure.

They don't respect anyone, they don't value life. When you cross those societal views with the right (or would that be wrong) person, you get something like what we've seen in CT and other places.

The icing on the cake is the media intentionally or not hypes the story, and other people who can't cope with adult life and also don't value life see the attention. "WOW! The WHOLE world knows that kids name!" Sick, but more and more common.

****************

If we seriously want this to stop, teach kids to learn from failures and come back better than before. Teach kids about the value of life and to respect others. And take away the glamour from these types of scenes. You won't need new laws, metal detectors and guards AND society will be safer.

I, like anyone else, only have only so much energy to give. I will use mine to remember the victims and not the murderer. I will forget his name and do my best to remember theirs.

Nobody asked me, and feel free to disagree.

It's going to be very hard watching these games tomorrow. I won't be able to even enjoy a Patriot victory tomorrow. There are several games with major playoff implications. I'm no where near as excited as I was before this tragedy took place. I send my heart & prayers to everyone involved in this senseless tragedy.
