Aldon Smith:We can stop them

We shall see. If we were 100% healthy I don't think anyone could stop us, but we aren't so Aldon could be right.

Well, he's right. The 49ers can stop us. We can also stomp them. We'll see Sunday.

At least he agrees solder has improved since he made it this far

Well, that's true. They certainly can stop the Pats. The Pats can also drop 50 points on them. Either's possible. I'd be surprised if he didn't think that.

The bigger issue for Niners, I'd think, is how their offense matches up against us. I'd be surprised if they have much success - maybe Smith hasn't noticed, but the Pats' D is actually pretty good.

They never learn. Could you imagine what BB would do to Solder if he ever slapped his gums about what he did against whom in college?

I now don't like Aldon Smith, too ****y. I hope we run it down his throat and Solder knocks him on his @ss.

And the QB Solder was protecting in college is totally comparable to Brady and how fast he releases the ball right?

Smith was kind of setup though. I mean, the guy asked him, if, when looking at the Patriots, he thinks "wow, how can we stop them?" or "we can stop them"? What is he going to answer? That's the kind of question only those who have been lectured in Belichick-speak 101 avoid answering.

But he was a little ***** with his comments on Solder, so I won't stand up for the guy. :D

.... and the ginning up of controversy begins.

I hope they talk trash all week long.

Take it easy folks. While Smith sounded confident in the interview he was given only two choices for an answer in the question leading to the inflammatory remark:
Q: We asked Fangio if he enjoys facing the Patriots, and he asked us if we were sadists. When you look at the Patriots offense, do you say, “Wow, how do we stop them?” or “We can stop them.”
ALDON SMITH: We can stop them.

Hardly a flame thrower. Though Smith does seemed pleased to smear Solder a bit. Smith got 4 sacks against him when they played in college. Ouch.

Hopefully this is on his locker when he arrives in the morning.

Rodney Harrison would disagree with you.

I betting Solder looking forward to reintroducing himself to Smith.

I think his solder comments are a little more -ve than the fact that he said that they can stop the pats.

Solder did well with both Dwight Freeney and Robert Quinn, which should hopefully be decent preparation for Smith.

Patriot answer: They're a really good football team.

My thoughts exactly brother! I think this is the first time I have heard an NFL player go there. Just a rediculous statement. I don't care how good a pass rushed he is. I would be fired up if I was in Soldier's shoes.
