Dec 12: 30th Anniversary of the Snow Plow Game

A blast from the past: thirty years ago today Mark Henderson became a permanent fixture in the folklore of Patriots Nation as the Pats beat Miami 3-0 in the Snow Plow Game...

That was on Dec. 12? We must be having global warming with the pansy weather so far this winter. Even Tommy's complaining about it in press conferences. :cool3:

I'l never forget Shula with the veins popping out of his neck and face. I've never seen anyone so mad. Wish they had that tape.

What a great story.

A prison parolee saves the Pats!!

Thank goodness they didn't have mandatory terms back then.:)

That is a fantastic article. Makes me laugh every time. God, I think I actually miss those days. Most people have no idea what being a Patriots fan was really like before 2001.
It was old school Awesome.....definitely NOT a family atmosphere
M-O-S-I MOSI!!!!:rocker:

fantastic article

ps = i met 3 times J.Smith and we talked a lot about his kick ! great !

In one of their earliest games, a fan ran into the end zone to bat down an opponent’s last-play, game-tying touchdown pass attempt. The fan then retreated, vanishing into the crowd with a Patriots victory assured.
This is from that article doc posted, does anyone remember this happening lol? I'm only 20 so I don't go back very far. But, that's friggin hilarious. I'd be so pissed if I were on the other team.

Yup. Mosi was my favorite player, as you can tell. The 70's were the golden age of football. Not yet the prime-time, national pastime, it is now but a real sport with people who were more than just players, they were legends...

i can't believe how lucky i was growing up as a sports obsessed child of the mid-late 70's & early 80's in NE

those great red sox teams of the late 70's.....the bruins on channel 38 (those early-mid 80's teams were just awesome to watch)......the bird era of the C's

and god love those patriots.....grogan, hannah, mosi, stanley morgan - the fiarbanks into the rons era (erhardt & meyer) into raymond berry were pretty cool years.....

Even funnier that it's widely suspected that it was the owner of the Patriots, who never denied it.
