Who gets the two open roster spots?

Seeing as there is literally nobody that knows the offense out there, if it is a WR it has to be (aside from Branch) one of:

Aiken, Kamar WR 6-2
Ebert, Jeremy WR 5'11

Gaffney is still suspended. Slater will also probably have to play more.

Ocho anyone?

Looks like its going to a Tony Logan, kick returner and WR.

Logan's a punt returner; makes roster sense. 5' 10" 193 LBS.

I think he's going to the PS. They have an open spot and he takes the locker of the former PS member.

Of course, I could be completely wrong.

Probably but he could also moved to the active roster very quickly as we need a PR. Ebert in on the PS but never returned punts (or many kickoffs).

Branch to active roster; Logan to practice squad.

The Patriots like to have their roster (including P-Squad) set by midweek so nobody is behind in practice. That makes me thing that the final spot will likely go to one of Aiken (the biggest), Ebert (another slot guy), or Logan (dynamic returner), depending on who has the best practice / state of health.

If Gaffney or another vet was to be brought in, it would have been today.

If for whatever reason the Patriots do not opt to promote one of these three, we could possibly see Forston called back up, as depth on the defensive line is still rather think.

Is Jesse Holley still out there? I recall he had a few moments during camp and could fill Ebert's PS spot if Jeremy gets elevated.

Branch just got one and according to Reiss it also looks like they're planning to sign WR Tony Logan, one of the top punt returners in the NCAA last year (3rd in average). He can also return kicks, I'd love if they could use him at both return spots to take the load off Welker/DMC. However it's not known if he'll be signed to the active roster or practice squad.

Check the last page. It's been confirmed that Logan is on the PS for now. Still a spot on the 53.

PS for now I guess but I would not be surprised for Logan to take the roster spot and return punts on Sun. Welker narrowly avoided decapitation Sun and dropped a few passes, so he can focus on job 1 .

Welker narrowly avoided decapitation Sun.

I noticed that too. He barely ducked under a high hit that would have been a concussion, most likely. That's the last thing we need, so it's nice to have another option there.

Logan is also a Hobbit sized guy so he too can duck under those massive Orc hits
