CURRAN: Talib 'Should' be ready for San Francisco
By: Ian Logue

It looks like the Patriots may have dodged a bullet last night after Tom Curran reported Aqib Talib may be ready to go on Sunday....

Awwwrrriiiiight!

Hope he's right. Dennard is the one I'm worried about though

Talib 'should' be ready for San Francisco

"The Patriots other outside corner, rookie Alfonzo Dennard, aggravated a hamstring but isn't expected to miss time. Kyle Arrington, who got trucked late in the game by teammate Justin Francis, said in the locker room after the game that he is fine."

The Pats had control of the game. If that wasn't the case, I'm sure all three might have gone back on the field. There was no need at that point.

Never thought I'd be happy to hear that Arrington will be back. But we need the whole "Taliban(d)" back and healthy.

That's really great to hear! Let's hope that's accurate and they're both out there Monday

So three injuries, with nobody expected to miss time. I'll take it!

what did talib hurt? I was at the game and couldn't see..he was jogging on the sidelines the rest of the game...but SF wrs don't scare me..so him missing isn't a huge blow to me

On his diving-near miss interception in the 2nd qtr, he landed awkwardly on his side. Looked like bruised ribs or hip. Pats actually had to take a timeout as he lay on the turf. ESPN went to commercial and I went to ESPN live chat and read thankfully read that he got up and was able to walk with medical staff to the sideline. In 2010 he was IR'ed for his hip, so the concern was there.

Good sign for Alfonzo Dennard. Source says he was in for treatment on hamstring and looked fine on his way out. No wrap or limp.

I love the Talib and Dennard in your face type press CB's. It reminds me of the old days.

It's really nice not to have "soft" CBs out there. I like feisty, ornery, physical CBs. You need a little bad ass and kamikaze in you to play that position well. Dennard in particular has no fear, as he showed when Talib went out and we took on Andre Johnson.

He also showed it when he took on that cop.

I'm only half-joking when I say that the Pats should keep going after CBs with arrest records.

I've always been a fan of Talib & this Dennard kid is truth. Oh how things have changed.

Finally we went after the right personality types - A pistol whipper and a cop puncher :)

(no hatred, please, I'm all for looking forward and moving on from mistakes, it just amuses me).

Sure beats the whiny, Brandon Meriwhether's of the world.

What the hell happened with arrington? He goes from probably the worst cb I have ever seen to me sitting here a month later worrying about if he's injured.
