watt got short circuited - Houston Texans Message Boards

Seems like some of the other fans called him out on this bogus attempt for an excuse. Lol, I found this funny.

Did y'all see how the pats neutralized jj and his swatting ability? They were grabbing him by the collar of his shoulder pads and yanking down. That's why he had those scratches on his neck. It's this not holding? Or is it the whole ” inside the frame” holding that's allowed?

Yea towards he end of the game they showed a close up of Watt and he had scrathes, claw marks all around his neck.

Not his pass rush. When he would try to jump up and throw his tennis rackets in the air, the oline had him by the inside of his pads pulling him down lol. Clever of you ask me, but that's gotta be holding.

Again this isn't about the pass rush, or watt being ineffective. It's about pats borderline cheating against the pass swatting prowess of our dline

I didn't go into the board and read, but let's not let a post by a fan get anyone worked up. And, you do it until you get away with it...a lesson I think they learned from the Baltimore game when the Baltimore o line was tackling/holding our defensive guys.

Glad to see the team learn from past mistakes :D

Please explain this "borderline"

Well, JJ Watt probably did some borderline cheating when he put on 90lbs of muscle in six months, so let's call it even. No offense to the man, but I don't think it was all cheese curds.

Did Brady even throw a ball close enough to Watt that he might've swatted it? It sure didn't seem so.

Of course they "borderline" cheated - they blocked him. What nerve!

LOL, he's getting killed by his own guys for that comment - no need for anyone here to chime in.

Agreed. Houston has some really good & knowledgeable fans, not that different from the Pats fans here. A much better crew than a lot of other teams have following them, and they seem ready to police their own, as we try and do.

Actually, he did. There were a couple that were a little too close for comfort for my old ticker. :)

I am pretty sure Chandler Jones had a nice swat. Facing him in practice likely prepared Brady for Watt and anyone else who swats all the time.

Were they within a whisker of being batted down?
I defer to your expertise in that measurement. :D

I don't think he came close to swatting any passes, but he did beat the crap out of Brady.

IDK, I saw several Texans defenders diving at offensive linemen's knees last night (which they are noted for). That is borderline cheating. I saw several dirty plays which could have drawn fouls by the Texans last night.

Lets just say this the Texans have some flaws on Offense but i wouldn't like the face that Healthy Defense on Turf. Watt got some Big Shots on Brady and also some of their Corners off the Edge. Lets hope they lose another one and we win out.

As others have noted - they police their own well enough over there by the looks of it.

We have our own share of forum donkeys to worry about.

I'm hoping that the 'bushy' character who signed up just to post smack in that thread isn't one of ours - that would be douchey in the extreme.

Come on now, you didn't think 100% of our fans were intelligent now did you? Every fandom has its village idiot.

Of course not, as you mentioned, we all have these types of fans but the thread was created because I've just never heard of "borderline" cheating and delusional holding calls.

I guess it was just the context of the complaint, not the complaining itself. No disrespect to your fanbase, over this week, I've found most of them to be very classy and fun to chat with.

Any longtime poster here knows that Patriots Nation has enough village idiots to fill an entire idiot village. (But then their idiot village would be overrun by the vast idiot army of Jets fans.)

Um, they faced them on turf last night. If they face them in the playoffs at Reliant, it would be on grass. And not even good grass as Welker surely remembers.

Exactly

This forum has a number of posters with such rabbit eared sensitivity that they get their panties in a bunch if some freakin fan of another team on the entire flippin internet disses the Pats or a player in any way.
