Just sayin ...

If only the SB was played in April,Rex Ryan would have more rings than Belichick

That was a fun win, but all I was thinking was "this is fun, but I just want another Lombardi. 8 years... ugh" It's been great watching this offense/team for the better part of the last decade, but I'd gladly trade in those 14+ win season for a 8-8 finish with a ring. Being the best team doesn't really mean a whole lot. Even with a 75% chance at winning every game in the playoffs, you're still unlikely to win the Superbowl. You need the luck, the breaks, and to play perfect football at the perfect time and hope it doesn't run out even a minute too short.

This is true, but winning in December does nothing but increase your chances.

There's a lot of luck and randomness involved in winning the SB. Your best bet is to be good enough to be in the mix every year, and hope things fall your way enough times.

I'm happy. For DECADES I'd simply just hope we'd make it to a single playoff game.

ya, ya... THIS!

I may have posted it before... I was married in 1991. In 1992, my newlywed wife said to me, in the middle of the 2-14 season: "Why do you watch these a-holes?" I said because they would be good one day. I stayed faithful thru the dark times. The team has paid back my emotional (and financial) support one hundred fold.

These are the golden days, and, sadly, there are likely fewer in front than behind. I am not saying they're on the downswing, but another decade of greatness is unlikely. Enjoy it.

You're bellyaching over 8 years? Ugh. The Patriots have represented the AFC 6 times in the last 16 seasons, that's more than a third of the time and twice as many as any other team. If, god willing, we make it again this year, we will tie the Steelers and Cowboys for most SB appearances. You should be jumping for frickin' joy that we get to watch this team.

Its kind of eye opening the way Tom Coughlin was saying we are 2-1 in our new season. That was during the sound fx bit during the half time program.

Patience, grasshopper.

This team has not peaked yet. For one thing, Gronk is not back.

We destroy the team with the best record in the NFL and we haven't peaked yet? I hope you're right. I have no problem losing the next 3 games as long as we win the superbowl.
