Dolphins Players Feel Patriots’ Strategy Was ‘Disrespectful’ « CBS Boston

“It really (ticked) me off. It was disrespectful to us to run the same play over and over and be successful,” defensive tackle Tony McDaniel told the Palm Beach Post’s Brian Biggane. “Normally when somebody’s driving down the field you just think, ‘Well, they just had a good run there,’ but you run the same play over and over, as a competitor that (ticks) me off.”

Shirley you can't be serious...

Wow. That's a new one.

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

I'm convinced that other teams and their fans won't be content until we'll building up a multiple touchdown lead, and then just taking a knee three times and punting every drive thereafter.

Also, Tony, the game was still close, which means you do whatever gives you the best chance to win. In that scenario, maybe you should stop sucking at stopping that play, then they might try something different.

+1 on the Onion thoughts.

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

I never even heard of this type of excuse until now:eek:

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

Wait ... what?

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

Well that explains why they are below .500

Anytime they have a good play they can never run it again.

Must be very disciplined in dolphin land

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

This amounts to "We're no good," so it wasn't fair that you played us. the Dolphins that said this should be ashamed of themselves.

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

The best part were the words "as a competitor". Well, as a competitor, you should have been able to diagnose it and stop it.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

This has got to be the funniest thing I have ever heard. BB would probably cut or suspend a player for saying something like that. You idiot ... it's your job to stop it, and if you can't stop it, don't complain about it. Disrespectful?

Here's hoping we disrespect the Texans, too.

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

Belichick to Brady's Headset:

"Ok Tom, the Ridley run plays have proven effective but I'm concerned that we're running the risk of hurting someone's feelings so lob a couple of ill advised passes that will stop the clock or be intercepted".

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

I think I get what he was trying to say, but it was not worded well. I think he was trying to say that they (the Dolphins D) should feel disrespected because a team kept running the ball down their throats with the same play. In other words, they should feel like scrubs for allowing it and don't deserve respect NOT that the Patriots were disrespectful.

Or....I could be swept up in a rare moment of holiday spirit and am being blind to his whiny, pathetic comments.

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

I think those Pats haters who think Bob Kraft pays off the refs have a point. I watched that entire game and the Pats were not flagged once with a unsportsmanlike conduct foul for hurting the Dolphins players' feelings.

Seriously, the Dolphins players knew what was coming. The only disrepect was to themselves, their coaches, their fellow players, and their fan base by the Dolphins' defense for not being able to stop the same play being run over and over again.

Brady to Belichick:

"Coach, I know I should just have knelt down to end the game. But it just felt so damn good to 'disrespect' them one last time ...". :D

Re: Mom! Make him stop! He's using the same play over and over agin!

... what the ****? He's mad because the Pats successfully ran the same play on them a bunch of times? Is he serious? I mean... what? I just don't get it. He should be ashamed to call himself a professional.

Yeah, but he's a "competitor" though.
