Interesting potential scenario:

SD and KC both clean house
Both bring in 4-3 defenses
Two teams worth of 3-4 defenders are sprung, and available to BB

The downside would be basically giving the Broncos the AFCW title for the entire Manning era.

Also, this would put Smith in play for the Jets.

I read that originally as "Chargers set fire to coach Turner, GM Smith"

Well the team is going down in flames!

Makes no sense, but I pressed reply and had to put something (i thought was) witty!

I'd be more than happy to accept Eric Weddle in a trade from the Chargers.

What took them so long?

Now they'll be available for Woody to hire if he decides to move on from Rex and Tanny.

Put the word "fans" after "Chargers", post that in a SD forum, and you'll never have to buy yourself a drink in that city again.

Yeah that'd be expected. Can't really admit to that unless he wants to fire them now lol. I don't know why he doesn't. Even if chargers win final 4 games they deserve to be canned.

It'd be amazing and Witchcraft if the Chargers went 4-0 to finish and Norv kept his job!

Hope those losing teams out there have already purchased their supply of Norv Away.

One of my favorite cities to travel to when working and also as a tourist. Great memories of my only pickup game as a power forward against shorter Mexican kids, second only to playing hoops against youngsters of the darker persuasion in Jamaica where soccer is the main sport.

Late runs and second half heroics have saved the duo more than once. River too for that matter. I think whomever inherits that team will have some talent but more issues, Rivers being one and culture being the other.

They'd be a fascinating addition to the circus for several reasons. AJ has alway been a proponent of the GM is the thing philosophy. And while a good talent evaluator he hasn't been a great character evaluator and he butts heads with anyone who doesn't fall in line. Used to working under a tight cap, albeit with lots of drafted talent to cover his play. NY would leave him with a largely bare cupbord (aside from two high priced corners including one who needs an extension or there will be trouble, two pretty solid OLmen, a promising young DE, an overpayed diva WR and a QB controversey). And a media who doesn't suffer aholes with attitude all that well compared to his lifes experience dealing with SD and Buffalo level media scrutiny. Norv as OC would be even more interesting as he always is with or without requisite talent. They do have the requisite names that would create the PR buzz Woody persists in craving.

this HAS to be an intentional misspelling of cupboard, right?...I mean I read that and immediately I think Rex has devastated every smorgasbord within 150 miles of the Meadowlands leaving only the little mom and pop "cub" bords left...you know, those choke and puke "all the Jimmy Dean pork sausage and pancakes you can eat for $2.99" diners that dot the metro NJ/NY landscape...?
