OT: What's the Best Sandwich shop in your area?

Marc Anthony's in Onset for great sandwiches.

Good Seafood.

Pizza & Salad's also.

Great, now I'm hungry :D

What's the best barbecue where you live?

Not a fan at all. I still can't believe all the hype barbecue gets down here and I've been here 10 years. I think it's the sauce that's a huge turn off for me. I've tried it several times and never once liked it.

Wolfie's in East Hartford has amazing pastrami sandwiches. Here on the Cape nothing sticks out. Parts of Connecticut are like NJ, every shop in New Haven has great grinders and that area beats Jersey pizza. Zuppardi's in West Haven. Pepi's on Wooster St., a dozen others. Regina is like Pizza Hut in comparison.

While not a sandwich per se, the best thing I have had in a bun is the Crown Burger in Salt Lake City.

It is a quarter pound hamburger patty on a sesame seed bun with Thousand Island dressing, Lettuce, Tomato, and Onions, Cheese, and topped with lots of Hot Juicy Pastrami.

Their Onion Rings are also killer (literally and figuratively :D )

There's a deli in Milford, MA called Oliva's. They have these triangle subs with Italian meats, cheeses, vegetables and dressing on focaccia bread. Unbelievable...

I've got to go there. I think I went a very long time ago and it was good then. And it's pretty close by!

Recked, just so you know they sell out of those focaccia subs around noon-time each day, so if you want to score get there between 10-11 am. Just posting made my wife Carol and I crave them so she's going there tomorrow morning to get some. 20 minutes from where we live. Get there in time and enjoy!

Sounds good! I drive a lot for my job throughout southern Worcester county including Milford, so I'll stop in sometime this week to check 'em out!

In my travels:

Cahills in Hudson, NH has excellent subs and a huge selection to choose from.

Jeannottes in Nashua, NH is a hole in the wall grocery store with huge fresh subs that are inexpensive. Jeannotte's Mkt - Nashua, NH Patch

C&S Pizza in Pepperell, MA is a small town pizza and sub shop by Greek ownership. Good pizza and subs.

New Jersey has it over Mass when it comes to Sandwiches and that type of chow. When I visit my brother EVERY street corner has a sandwich shop better than the last.

Chris Christie is living proof of that statement;)

Bay Cities Deli in Santa Monica

Italian deli, bake their own bread, constantly bringing out fresh bread throughout the day

Rex Ryan approves of this thread.

It sounds like you're from my neck of the woods (Feeding Hills). Have you ever tried Pajer's? It's a little mom and pop Italian grocery store (cash only) with a deli in the back. I honestly haven't been in a while, but when I used to go I remember the grinders being huge delicious and cheap.

Pajer Superette - Agawam, MA

Forgetting to mention Pajer's was simple negilgence on my part. Haven't been there in awhile...those sandwiches are a big committment!

A friend from work turned me on to a place in Windsor Locks, CT that is similar:

H&M Grinders

Well, if we are going to branch out to include burgers I have to mention:

I should have stated "Absolutely NO Toe Sandwiches/Subs allowed!" Ya think he's crying into a Po' boy right now? :)

I'm a little concerned that the switch to McElroy signifies the ascendance of "Rational Decision-Making" in East Rutherford.

Then again, he scored a 43 on the Wonderlic. Who does Greg even have to talk to in that locker room?

Yeah... I'm not too concerned with McElroy, the McJets, or McRosie or McAstro for that matter.
