I fear the Patriots D more than any team in the AFC. Because I think they will ultimately determine our fate.

Answering this 'by the rules' I'd say Baltimore at home is probably the scariest followed by Denver anymore and then Houston.

I really don't like Baltimore at home, they're a different beast.

I understand but Brady went up there this season and easily hung 30 points on that defense and that was almost fully staffed. They have critical injuries right now. Of course, that could change because they also didn't have Smuggs playing that game either but that defense isn't the same. It would depend on how the secondary plays against Flacco.

Their defense with Ray Lewis and Lardarius Webb had trouble stopping the Patriots offense then. They're without those two guys now and haven't looked good in recent weeks. Further, the Patriots defense played an AWFUL game in Week 3 and New England still almost (and probably should have) won. If there's a re-match between these two teams, it could get ugly.

I am going with the Ravens. They are very tough in their house, and have even given us quite a few problems in Gilette. The horrific game that comes to mind was the 06 playoffs (I think )where Rice had a gazillion yards and we lost at home 40 something to 20 something.

Yeah, but the ravens seem to play with spite whenever they face the patriots. It's like ravens only care about hurting the patriots instead of pointing up ponts and winning.

Ravens definitely. Ray Louis will be back as will Suggs.

I think Ray Louis is on IR. Ray Lewis is recovering from an arm injury and Suggs is already back.

He is, but it the Ravens used their returnable IR slot on him so he may be back.

Wrong.

The Ravens used their returnable IR designation on Ray Lewis. Ray Louis is still on IR with a pelvic contusion.

1.) Houston Texans

2.) Baltimore Ravens
3.) Pittsburgh Steelers
4.) Denver Broncos

I voted for the Ravens. I think the Pats match up well with all other teams. Yes, Peyton is capable of putting up points in a shootout but the Ravens, especially at home, are a tough team to beat. I think the Pats can win but I believe it would be a great challenge. I just hope Brady is on his game in the playoffs and that trend of falling into the negative category for turnover margin during the Playoffs changes with a 2013 run.

Damn, it just dawned on me the steelers and ravens defense are in the same situation the patriots defense went though in 2007. Their lack of youth will cause them to rebuild like the patriots are doing now.

Think you mean 2008. The Patriots defense in 2007 was one of the top defenses in the NFL.

Usual suspects are a concern, Steelers (healthy Ben), Texans, Ravens, Broncos in no perticular order. I like our chances against any of them. Playin them in Foxboro is always a plus. I'm looking forward to seeing where we're at against a team like Texans and if Gronk is back for that.

While I echo the sentiments about the Ravens being tough at home, it's important to remember that the Pats almost beat them in their previous meeting this year. Minus the horrible officiating, that game goes very differently. It's not sour grapes or whining about the refs, just a fact that the game was super close and a handful of terrible calls/missed calls changed the game... ones that don't usually happen.

They have a Ray Lewis AND a Ray Louis?

The Jets, they just suck soooooo much! ;)

Looks like I'm the only one who picked the Steelers. Assuming they get their starting QB back, I'd say they're the most viable threat.
