still surprised people wanted this guy

He's as good as Andre Carter or better... No surprise at all.

difference is babin is a me first player and always had been and will be

the eagels paid him good money but he give them a all pro 18 sack season so he dose not owe them anything and he was still on pace for 10+ sacks this year they signed him to get to the QB and he did he's job who cares if he's a "me first" kind of guy... thats just my opinion

He does NOT keep gap assignment..hardly ever..one of the worst guys against the run....one trick pony...about the stats for him

Carter was also pretty tough against the run. A legit 3 down player. Not some fairy only capable of speed rushing from the edge.

Since when is playing against a team on its home field NOT competing with them?

I was thinking this, too. The Pats are playing in JAX in week 16...

Maybe he meant that the Jags wouldn't be able to compete with the Patriots. Not sure there. Either way, I'll be at that game. :D

I agree that the Eagles singed him with the expectation he would sack the QB. Looking at his numbers, he delivered on that expectation. However, being paid also equals an implied expectation to give full effort. IF he quit on the Eagles then he did not meet expectations.

Though "me first" implies the team & winning is not of great importance (something that should always be most important when being paid to be part of a team), if the Eagles knew this and signed him anyway? That is not on the player, that is on the Eagles entirely.

Too often people confuse manifestation of malaise to selfishness and diva-like behaviour.

Anyone in here who has been in a working place with bad atmosphere and "apocalytic feel" like they must have in Philly right now should know that people react to things like that differently.

Truely selfish "me first" players don't care. They are unaffected by their team struggling. Empathic and passionate players are usually the ones with the strongest reaction.
