Looks like one more example of good measurables and talent, but not being able to work hard enough and have the proper attitude of a winner and team player.
Many were certainly high on him coming out of college.
The raiders are a mess.This guy had tons of talent at alabama.I am sure some team will give him a chance but it most likely will be another terrible team.

Even if McClain turned out to be good, that's literally bragging to another team that your high first rounder is better than their late second rounder.

Not only that, but McClain is an ILB right? I think that we're pretty good in that area right now--not that I think Belichick would waste one minute considering it though.
The team building process combined with the ability to continue learning and listening to your higher ups are some of the intangibles that McClain would not get here. There's no spot on the precious 53 man roster for a bad attitude player here, even if they have talent...at least not for long anyway.
I don't catch too many Raiders games so I haven't seen him since he was in college. Would he at least be an upgrade in coverage? The defense has had its share of hard times this season against tight ends.
The LB coverage is bad because we don't have a single coverage linebacker. Have you looked at those guys? It isn't coaching, they just aren't physically apt to cover well.

It's one thing to take in a player who has a load of talent but a bad attitude. McClain has ZERO talent (He was so overrated coming out of Alabama) and is most definitely not someone to be counted upon as a respected individual.
