I'm flying down to Flordia this weekend with a friend and my son. Staying on the Gulf Coast in Naples with my parents and driving over to Miami for the game on Sunday. Just wondering if anyone knows of any Patriots fans gathering somewhere to tailgate. Never been to Sun Life stadium, so I'm not to sure of where I'm going to end up parking, and whether or not there's anything to do before the game (for example, in Buffalo they have the field house open to the public with different things available to the fans).

If anyone else is going, or has any useful information let me know, thanks in advance!

I've been to a couple. My best advice if you aren't meeting Pats fans there is to just walk around. There are Pats tailgates set up all over the outside of the stadium and you'll get to tailgate with some interesting new people.

I'm going to the Miami game. In fact, this is my 9th or 10th time heading down there.

FYI - I usually tailgate @ 32 East with my uncle and his co-workers, most of which

are Dolphans. As I'm sure you know... there are usually TONS of Patriots fans there.

Stay the **** out of our stadium!!! :violent:

;)

Lat time I was there a travel buddy got ejected for fighting having beaten the crap out of a 20 something Fins fan who'd attacked him having had too much to drink. Worse than the bloody beating, the Fins kid also got arrested. Life lesson here...never pick a fight with a former hockey "enforcer" even if he's lots older. Thanks to the big young Miami fans who helped me separate the two.

Good times...except for the fact that it was a typical Bledsoe loss.

I'm not concerned about having any problems with the Miami fans, as long as a visiting fan doesn't act like an a-hole, they usually are left alone. That's true at Gillette, as well as the many games I went to at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The fights always start when an idiot fan from an opposing team starts trash talking the home crowd...not exactly the smartest thing to do when surrounded.

As for the comment up-thread about staying out of our f'ing stadium...um, the Dolphin fans must be paying attention, tons of empty seats when I watched last week's game on TV. I'm guessing there will be a huge turnout of Patriots fans this week down there.

Have been to many games there, there is always a large contingent of Pats fans there. Just walk around the parking lot and you'll find some. If you wander to where the buses park you'll likely find plenty of Pats fans, traveling together.

In Naples there are two or three big time Pats bars that usually organize a trip to the Miami game, though I would presume it is too late to join in. Foxboro's, Boston Beer Garden, and another place, I can't recall the name of.

Thanks everyone for the info!

We're going to drive ourselves over from Naples (Alligator Alley), figured this way we'll have our own car to tailgate from.

There's reasonable seats on Stubhub.

I often go, but there's family commitments on Sunday. While I could possibly sneak away, the wife cannot, and thus I would likely hear about it for quite some time afterwards if I did.

****, I had a beer bottle winged at my head in Miami in 2010 and was simply standing up cheering the Brandon Tate return for a TD.

We dont shell out money for a crappy product down here...

From the Road Games forum, in case anybody is interested:

Buddy of mine had a last-minute thing pop up and can't go. Short notice, but before I sell it to a scalper, if you'll be in Miami and need a single, let me know.
