I'm sure almost all of you have watched it, but for those who haven't or those who wish to see it again, I found it on Youtube:

It was my first time and I thought it was excellent. Poor old Giovanni Carmazzi; didn't come out of it very well.

It was obvious that Carmazzi was a loser from the start, "you can't set your expectations to play like Montana or Young...".

If he doesnt think it's possible to play as good as Montana/Young he never will, OTOH TFB wanted to be better than Montana and would bust his behind to become so, that's the guy I want.

ive seen the brady 6 four times now and it never gets old. what a incredible story. some of the comments that people left are as dumb as tom is great.

If (WHEN, BBDAMMIT! :D) the Pats make it to the SB this time, I want to see the entire front row saturated with "I heart Giovanni Carmazzi" signs, to get Tommy good and pissed :p

For the most part it appears to be a dumb Broncos fan trying to troll.

One of the better things ESPN has done is The Brady 6.

I've seen it 3 times so far. It's just excellent stuff. I wish they'd make like a 5 hour special on BB & Brady once they are done.

Hindsight is always 20-20, but I still cannot fathom some of the decisions made by other teams to pick QBs, those picked before Tom, some of whom could not complete 50% of their passes in college even against bad competition. I guess because they had a good 40 yard dash time for a QB? Yikes.

As long as it's not 2 hours of highlights and 3 hours of :spygate: c**p.

Carmizzi...lol. Also, Spergon Wynn didn't exactly have the right attitude, "Oh cool, I get to sit for a year and learn!" So he just thought he was gonna kick back and chill for the year and he was a-ok with that.

OTHO Tommy B had already bought a house in the Boston area and are telling his college friends he is beating Drew Bledsoe for the starting QB job....don't a guy's attutide and work ethic already can tell you who is going to be great and who is going to fade? Everytime I am down in my life I go on youtube and watch the brady 6, big upleft!:rocker:

Great show. I love when Mariucci talks about Carmazzi and Brady. That he knew after Carmazzi and Brady's first preseason game ever, which was against each other (hall of Fame Fame I believe), that he had made a huge mistake not taking Brady. I also find it interesting that it was Joe Montana being inducted during the 2000 Hall Of Fame induction. Imagine IF Brady had been picked by the 49ers and was just as successful with them.

That was the changing of guards, 49ers missed their shot at making a never-heard of 30 year dynasty and instead, they honor Montana on the field and from there on everything is passed on to Tommy B, and the patriots becames the next great dynasty. They really can make a movie out of all these events, happens so majestically together!

I love that everytime I see it, even if it's a little slobbering even for a Homer's tastes.

Four thoughts:

One. Whenever I watch this, I'm struck by Belichick's comment (echoed by Mariucci in almost the same words) that it was Carr's decision not to make Brady the solo starter on Day One in his senior year that made them hesitate ("wonder what's going on there") and let TB drop way down the Board before they drafted him. I am amazed that Brady is so kind to Carr in his comments to this day; I would venture a guess that that is more about his love of Michigan than it is a sign of respect for Carr.

Two. Since the Patriots were already carrying a "Franchise QB" salary in Bledsoe, from every thing I know about the "Patriot Way," I doubt very much that they would have been ready to pay Brady a second or third round salary anyway. So, I guess we owe the aforesaid Mr. Carr a debt of gratitude, even if Tom Brady doesn't.

Three. Life lesson to pass on to our children from Drew Henson's experience: focus on what you do best! Henson says at the end that he thinks he would have made it if he hadn't tried to play both sports and if he had played football in his senior year.

Four. This piece also reminds me that I like Chad Pennington a lot; he was a warrior and a class act.

Awesome. Thank you for reminding me. I'm now gonna go watch it again... for the third time. :)

I love how the one name he almost forgets in the beginning is the only other QB to become a legitimate starter in the draft class (Bulger) besides him and Pennington.

I can't get over the fact that here it is 11 years later (when that was filmed), with all he's done, and at the 41:20 mark in that video he just about starts crying when reminiscing about Draft Day 2000. Something that it still bothers him so much after all this time.

Just think how motivated Edelman a 7th rnd pick must be! :)

Wow that was an awesome watch!
Man, you can tell that for Brady, it still hurts.
That draft night when it felt like nobody wanted him despite all he had done.

Damn, did he prove the football world wrong!
Brady's the real deal. And he just burns with the desire to be the best!
Sooo good!

I hope that Brady ends up with 6 rings, and then they'll do ANOTHER Brady 6 special to commemorate his career! ^_^
