So, apparently Brent Celek is disgusted with his team:

"Teams come in here and laugh at us" (CSN Philly)

Shouldn't Bill "All your TE's are belong to us" Belichick have swooped in to start a stealth campaign to lure him over to the "dark side" by now? :D

He understandably should be disgruntled. The Eagles are terrible right now. It's a sinking ship and he is drowning with the rest of his team. I would highly doubt the Eagles would be insane and just flat cut him though.

We already have a better version of Celek sitting on IR. And a super powered version of him on the active roster, but injured.

The eagles are going to be cleaning house after the season, New head coach, new GM, lots of dead weight cut.

The only people safe are probably a couple of fellas on defense, Desean jackson, and celek.

Just about every team which ends up having to go with a crappy back-up QB (or even a crappy starter) has a "disgruntled" star. Not really surprising. At least they kept the game competitive, unlike some other teams we know.

You forgot Salas at WR

Celek is signed through 2016, but apparently it's all salary after next year, so the dead money would only be about $1.3M.

With any new regime coming in, no one is safe. Attitude, salary, system fit.

The Eagles should be made an object lesson for every management team in the NFL about how Just the accumulation of "talent" does not win football games in the NFL. There is so much more that goes into it.

For 2 years now the Eagles have gone into the season being considered one of the top contenders for the Super Bowl. Yet each time they have failed miserably, In fact this season being even worse than the last.

They had as good a group of offensive skill players in the league. They had a DL that was deep and athletic, with the potential to be a scary group of rushers. They had a secondary that was the envy of most teams in the NFL. They were in decent cap shape, and had seem to have drafted well. What happened?

I wish I had the answer, but their collapse is going to be studied in detail over the next few years as a cautionary tale to all the ownerships

Which FO is more dysfunctional, the Iggles or the JEST?

I would rather go after Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie or Asomugha. Both those guys could be free agents at the end of the season. DRC is a free agent for sure barring a new contract or franchise tag. Asomugha is a potential salary cap cut.

I am reminded of the BB quote.

"we're building a team. not collecting talent"

I think they went aftre all of the talent and never bothered to look at an organisational fit for certain individuals.

Bringing in Nnamdi and DRC being 2 that haven't neccessarily been home run hits. DRC even being as part of the kolb trade.

Wonder if they think they were too hasty in letting Kolb go. Even after the dog killers 2010 season.

Isn't it fairly simple? They have an erratic QB that can't stay on the field. If Tom Brady was on that team, they might be undefeated.

Well, if he would at least catch some of the balls thrown to him he would have a point. but after a fine start it looks like he caught the stonehands-itis...he caused at least 2 TO in the last two games I briefly saw and dropped several other balls.

Lurie is a very good owner but they have a FO and coaching issue. Having TB would help but I question if Reid has his heart in it anymore. With the tragedy his family has endured, a man can only take so much.

In the past, Dungy has made statements that his son's death really started to make him seriously think about retirement.

I dunno, Asomugha has had a downturn in play that makes McCourty's sophomore slump look like an All-Pro season.

I worry that he's the sort of guy who has to play in a certain type of system and I'm not sure that is what we would play.

Only Player i would love from Philly is WR Jeremy Maclin. I WCO WR would work well in our system.

Have you watch Asomugha this year? He's fallen off the deep end.
