After 4th Super Bowl, Proehl to hang it up

MIAMI -- Former Bears receiver Ricky Proehl, now with the Colts, is retiring after the Super Bowl.

"This is it," said Proehl, who will be suiting up for his fourth Super Bowl. "I came back to this football team because I felt like this team had the best chance of getting to the Super Bowl and, luckily, I was right. This is it for me. This is my last game."

May it end the same way as SB XXXVI.

"Tonight a dynasty is born!" -immortal words :rocker:

Goodbye Ricky.

"Suiting up" is a relative term for Proehl at this point. Against the Patriots he was a healthy scratch.

If he could have only played and caught the tying TD we would have stood a chance...

Did someone say something?

He caught a TD against the Pats.

What am I missing:

Manning ran one in, Klecko caught one, Saturday recovered one, Addai ran one in.

Are you saying in the SBs? He caught one in each of them, only to see NE make history. Twice.

I forgot he caught one with Carolina also.

The man can see the future. Just before kickoff in SB36 he said a dynasty was about to begin.:rocker:

Ricky........ Smell ya later, Best regards to Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce....:rocker:

I got it.
I think it was a subtle attempt at humor. Proehl catches one TD and the Pats won each time. Had he caught a TD two Sundays ago, the Pats would have won based on past history......
